Judging by what we have done in the preseason so far, I am actually not concerned at all. We've rarely had half a lineup on any given night, and have been putting up an average of 3 goals a night. Stop worrying, we have a very good team.

Hasek played on some absolutely terrible Buffalo Sabres teams, and was still incredibly dominant. It's close though.

IMO, Jiri Fischer is a bigger loss than Kronwall. I don't know what it is about Kronner, but he is NOT the same player for the Wings, as he is for Sweden, in international competition.

I pretty sure that Homer wore 96 due to the year he made the team too. I saw some tape where Scotty Bowman mentions this particular fact, and that if he didn't improve that would be his last year in the NHL as well. I forget which tape though.

tbh, we have more than enough D-men. If we're just looking for a big, tough, scrapper, then I'd rather it be a forward.

I'm not sure why everyone wants Hudler shipped out so fast? Yes, he is small, but the guy can play. If he ends up with 40-60 pts this season, I see no reason to move him. I guess thats just me, but I like both Huds AND Flip on this team. Just my 2c.

O/T: Just thank GOD we have Hank locked up for 2 more years @ $2.6 mil. He is easily the most underpaid player in the league IMHO. Just happens to be my favorite player too.

I'd take Manny back before I'd go with Raycroft. He's not horrible, but he won't steal you any games. There are at least 30 guys I could think of rather having than him. Toronto wasted a young prospect getting this guy in the first place.

It sucks, cuz I love Lang on the Wings. However, we are way too deep @ center. With the emergence of Filp & Huds, there just isn't any room. And we need to spend that money on scoring wingers. It's also my gf's favorite Wing, so that sux too.

I can honestly say that I'd rather not have The Cup than have Pronger on the Wings. Some people don't care about the type of player who is on their team, or the team's style of play. Those are the 2 most important things for me. That's why I love the Wings so much, they have "classy" leadership and play the best style of hockey in the NHL. Pronger does none of those things for me. Congrats to you and your Ducks, and keep Pronger till he retires.
