If you set the league record for suspensions 2 times in a row, that in itself should be grounds for a rest of the season suspension. Still 30 games is reasonably long.

I got to see Lloyd in person coach his last Big Ten game. Even though they lost, I'm glad I got to go see him one more time. I'll post pics later if anyone is interested in seeing them.

Nitpick time! In the era before teams were guaranteed to play each other for the title, there is no such thing as 'half' a championship. Michigan won every game that year and beat multiple top 5 teams to do it. Sure Nebraska also won but that in no way detracts from Michigan's title. So there. I would say Michigan is an elite team. They are able to recruit based on their name alone and have fans all over the country. The main reason I say elite is because while yes, they have only 1 title in recent memory they still have the most wins and best winning percentage of all college teams. While teams like Miami and FSU won 3 or 4 titles in a decade or so, look at where both teams are now. Michigan has had 40 straight non-losing seasons ("non-losing" referring to the 6-6 1984 campaign. In 38 out of those 40 years Michigan has won 8 or more games ) and it's consistency like that that makes me still think of Michigan as elite. Michigan spends some time out of the polls but hasn't spent the entire season unranked like Miami or FSU has in recent years. Call me a homer but that's my two cents. And before timothy1997 comes on here saying Michigan should be kicked out of the conference etc etc, royally blowing one game to a ridiculously overmatched opponent doesn't tarnish Michigan's status as elite. Much as I love Lloyd, he has a knack for playing down to weaker teams and it finally bit him real hard in the ass. Manning threw 6 picks yesterday to a team coached by Norv effing Turner and I think history will still remember him fondly.

It'd be funny if Michigan hadn't lost either and it were right back to #1 vs. #2 again and piss off all the SEC lovers. OH WELL.

I saw this question mentioned in an article on ESPN.com and it has been something that has always bothered me. Honestly I don't really see the big deal if a player kicks the puck into the net if that's the only way he move the puck forward. To me it doesn't seem like the goalie is put in an unfair position by having the puck guided past him like that. What do you guys think?
