Terrell Owens suspended indefinitely
Happy Pancake replied to betterREDthandead's topic in Other Sports
The Redskins and their fans, including myself, would like to thank TO for not being at the game last night. We needed a win and you helped facilitate it in your own special way TO. Seriously, it's nice to see the Eagles suspending him rather than trading him. I hate it when players just start to piss and moan everytime they get unhappy until they're traded. It's like giving your kid a toy or something everytime he cries, he'll never learn otherwise. -
Michigan football - two games left

Indiana...it's nice to not worry about an upcoming game. I just wish my car hadn't crapped out on me, otherwise I'd be in Ann Arbor on the 19th for the game. Oh well! As long as we win! -

An away loss is always fun on the way home. See you on the 19th!

Pretty sure they'll lose again eventually...

Michigan is the best team ever. I am not casting judgement on other UM fans, but I personally have had no problem sticking with my team. Does this mean my cursing has gone up considerably this season? Of course, but I still love my team. Go Blue!
-
I would normally say I'm not worried too much about Northwestern as our next game, but holy hell did they spank MSU yesterday. I hope our offense can keep up next week.
-
OK then. I don't frequent the boards as much as I used to so I don't know who hates who now.

Who is "US"??? You are not even in college yet, so you don't have an "US"... Now USC has beaten "MY" team for the past few years, I am in no way bitter, that are just a better team. I think you may be making a bigger matter of the 'us' than is warranted. I call all 'my' teams 'us' or 'we' when I refer to them. It's not that I think I'm on the team or that I'm somehow 'in' with the team, it's just a manner some people refer to their sports teams. It's no big deal. I'm glad WE beat the Coyotes tonight!

I knew it was important as it happened (2 seconds added to 28 remaining seconds is obviously big) but I realized the winning play wouldn't have even taken place without those seconds only after the game was over.
-
I really think they need to let the coaches be able to challenge calls rather than hope the football gods (it seems that way sometimes) decide whether or not to challenge it. At best, you take a timeout and win the decision but you're still out a timeout.

at iowa is a tough game....if there ever was a way to spark a team tho, it was to win a nailbitter game in the closing minutes like michigan just did. Hats off to michigan in a big win today. It was a great win but I thought the MSU victory would be the spark this team needed and it sadly, was not. Now that the elation of the Penn State victory is subsiding, Iowa is looming very large next Saturday. I don't know if this game will be the spark Michigan needs but it certainly will help more than a demoralizing loss would have going into Iowa.

What I meant by my last post was that I KNEW they'd win! Now like Lloyd said LET'S WIN TWO IN A ROW! Now if only we could beat unranked Big Ten opponents...
-
I love my team, but that's it. 18-10 Penn State...we're done. Hopefully we'll make a bowl this year.

I still wear my Michigan hat to work every single day. They're my team, they have been since I was 6 years old and I first watched them play in the Rose Bowl with my mom, and they always will be. HOWEVER, I will say that this season is not Michigan football, if they lose to Penn State, they will be 3-4 as we all know. My mom is 50 years old and the last time Michigan was 3-4, she was 8. EIGHT! I think this season just shows how spoiled we've been by our team. An off year for Michigan before this season was 3 losses at the end of the year, with one of those usually coming to Ohio State. Now we're just begging for a win each week at 3-3. I'm certainly not pleased with the way things are going this season but I still remember Ohio State going 6-5 and winning the nation title the next year. Michigan will be back, hopefully next season. Whether or not Lloyd Carr will be in the coming seasons is a different story...

Yup that's us. I was feeling pretty down after Wisconsin, now I've got the swagger back. Seriously though, it was a good game, MSU played a damn good game and are still a damn good team even with the one loss.

I had to laugh at this thread after seeing a MSU fan during the game with a shirt that said 'WHO'S THE *****?' LOL still you!
-
It was a bad call, even though we ended up winning, it was a s***ty call that could've cost us the game. Winning doesn't completely take that away. It could've been 34-24 with no need for OT if the correct call had been made.

he was pulling it back into his body. Thats the difference. *sigh* Am I talking to a brick wall? He wasn't tucking it in. If you watch the opposite field replay he never made an attempt to tuck the ball at all. The release of the ball was later (meaning the ball was thrown to the ground) because he got smoked in the facemask/shoulder by the Sparty lineman. Maybe you need to read the tuck rule. It was clearly a fumble. oh well. It doesnt matter. Michigan won. Wolverine fans have a bad habit of just having "bad refrees". Ref is to blame for EVERYTHING!! Michigan vs. Notre Dame in 2002? when the ball never crossed the plain even after the ball was down, and it was ruled a touchdown. Yes, I have no problem riding the refs for s***ty calls.

GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know they're 2-2 but I like how Michigan falls over 15 spots for losing by 3 points. Anyone else think Michigan gets the shaft in the polls sometimes? Anyways, this is the first time I've been worried about playing MSU in years. Not to say that I don't think MSU ever has a chance to beat us, but I get worried when I don't think we'll win. This is going to be a game where Michigan shows what it's made of, either they're going to fade into the Big Ten night by losing again or they're going to wake the hell up and win a big game for once.

REDSKINS WIN REDSKINS WIN. Best game in years! Ten years of futility OVER! We are drinking it up here in Richmond, Virginia tonight! GO SKINS!
-
No offense to our veterans, especially Stevie, but I really hope that this year's theme will be The Last Hurrah.

Maltby because no one would expect it. My second choice would be Manny.
