And, seriously, I hate all this complaining about the officiating. It's been a clean game. Just let it go.

I mean, Jesus, it's a close series between two very talented, accomplished teams. We're up a goal headed into the third-period of Game 5. Yeah, sure, I feel good about things. I'd rather we hadn't given up that goal, but we weren't going to hold them down like that the entire game. I think some of you just need to enjoy the process more, enjoy the ups-and-downs. The guys played their asses off for 30 minutes and were decent for the last 10. The Ducks can turn it on, too, and we saw a little bit of that. Now it's just up to the Wings to control play for 20 more minutes and we'll have two games to close this thing out.

Well, that period certainly could have ended more smoothly. I still like the way we're playing, though. The Wings will need to come out and get on the Ducks to start the third, but I'm confident.

This has probably already been discussed somehwere, but just so everybody's clear, Game 6 and the potential Game 7 won't be nationally broadcast, if I'm understanding correctly. Not only is this unfathomable and ridiculous, it sucks for fans who aren't local or who don't have NHL Network.

First of all, Nick Lidstrom could not sound LESS southern. How bizarre. LMAO. Anyway, pretty strong period from the guys. Here's hoping those posts don't come back to haunt us.

I'd be shocked if Giguere starts. That just wouldn't make any sort of sense. Again, for those of you who can't see the game, this is complete horses***. E-mail, call, write, do whatever you can. The league can't get away with this any longer. Like people have said, stripping away regular-season games is one thing, this is entirely different. In no way should fans be denied the ability to watch these games. The NHL Network in itself is a total farce. All of this money-grabbing, greedy schemes to get people to ante up insane amounts of money for packages is ridiculous and everybody involved should be ashamed. End rant. Go Wings. Pavel, please, do something.

First of all, the league is an absolute joke for not having this game nationally broadcast. A total, complete joke. Secondly, this is huge. I have bad Game 5 Ducks memories, so hopefully we can erase those today. If we play like we did on Thursday, we'll win. Anaheim cannot beat us when we play that well and we have multiple lines producing. I'm excited for this one.

Welcome to the party, Hoss! Hossa/Franzen/Filppula looks gigantic right now. Totally in love with all of them. I also enjoy how Hiller looks beatable right now. If we can get the next goal, I think we'll have effectively cracked him. We are playing far too well to lose this game. Come on, guys.

Ugh, and things were going so well. Just a little chippy goal. I think it went off Lids' stick after he made a not-so-wise play at the other end. Hate to see that. I still have confidence. Don't let the Ducks get another quick one here.

Chelios, I am going to kill you. I do not understand why he's playing. I really don't. Every time he's on the ice, he makes a terrible play. It's embarrassing. He's like a mediocre beer leaguer at this point. WTF is that penalty?

Mule is getting the load of the credit, and rightfully so, but let's not forget that Ericsson and Kronwall made great plays on both of the goals, too. Ericsson's poise has been something to behold. I fully expect him to be one of the best defensemen in the league in three or four years. It's crazy how much better I feel right now.
