My "alternate ending" to the commercial would be him walking out of his house. Wideshot of his house inbetween two Wings fan houses. M. NIGHT SHYAMALAN TWIST: HE'S LIVING IN MICHIGAN. Cut to the two neighboors mowing their lawns or taking out the trash (Wearing Cup Championship shirts or Wings jerseys), making fun of him and the Pens.

I like it. If the curves on the sleeves were straight, it'd look a little better, but overall, good job Coyotes.

Hossa looks like a porcupine. The resemblance is uncanny.

Just a quick tidbit; Ovechkin said he was offered the C, but turned it down for now. He wants to learn the English language better first. Makes sense.

Haha, touche, granted, we're not in the NHL, so it doesn't matter to us as much. And by the by, the Giguere set-up rocks.
-
People love to show pictures of goalies from 10-20 years ago to back their points when the game is definately different now.
-
Therefore, it can be slimmed down some, but make sure it's safe. It's been doing it's job, don't eff it up too much.

I hope everyone isn't expecting big changes. Unless the new gear involves drilling a puck sized hole in the middle of Giguere's chest, then he'll be fine. Blocking butterfly ftw. All the NHL needs to work on would be slimer more streamlined C/As and pants, maybe make a +1 limit to thigh rise. Make the gear fit the goalie. Legace can't wear the same sized pads that Valliquette wears. Nor can he wear the same sized C/A that Valliquette wears. Is it unfair since Manny is shorter than the average goalie? Yes, but tough ****. You shouldn't beable to beef up your height and weight with massive goalie gear. (And yes, John, I can say this being 6"2. " They won't touch glove sizes or pad width. This hysteria reminds me of when guys kept saying that no thighboards, new C/A sizing, glove sizing, and 11" pads would mean injured goalies and more goals. What happened? Goalies took around a year adapt, and we were actually faster and more mobile than before. All this talk of safety brings me to this . . . has an NHL goalie ever been seriously injured (I am talking career ending) due to the equipment not being adequately protective? Aside from head and throat protection, I can't think of any goalie being seriously injured. Bring on the resizing, unless the NHL wants to ban the butterfly, then who cares.

Nice to see you read the wikipedia of "redneck" aswell. But, if you continued reading, you would of read this too: And I love how everyone is up in arms about Cherry calling Hockeytown full of a rednecks in a way he thought was positive, when every other post here during the NSH series refered to NSH fans "rednecks" and "hicks".

I'll give my thoughts on him when he faces Nashville at home. Nashville hasn't won a playoff game on the road in their existance, and they were without their two best players. Glad to see the Wings defense is back though. A win is a win.

8 GP - 1 G - 10 A - 11 P +6 too. Not too shabby.

The best part was how everyone went from "maybe he'd help us" to "f*** him, we don't need him." when everyone learned he didn't want to play for his rival team and show some loyalty to the Avalanche franchise.
-
The sad part is, everyone probably is, out of spite of course.

"Oh yeah baby! A right by Roy, and another right, another right, another, a left by Roy, another right, another right! Another right by Roy, he connects with another right! An uppercut! An uppercut! Another right! Yeah! You better believe it baby"

Remember when Stuart f*cked up Zetterberg's back?
-
Heretic! Luongo made 49 saves tonight; but his big ass gear must of made like 48 of them.

Even if, and if the NHL has it's way, when Giggy goes back to whenever this was taken, he's got the lateral movement and positioning that a 2008 goalie learns, and will mean more gut saves. It's not going to kill him, and the only reason he wears what he wears now is because everyone else is. It's just going to take a official ruling to stop that.
-
It's called a sidewall, Marty's has it too.
-
I also love how everyone babbles on about how Giggy's pad length helps him cheat. If you've ever seen him make a save, it's almost always in the gut or in his knees. His butterfly is very narrow, making the length of his pads just form a bit of a tunnel. Giggy also brings his shoulders up and bends more over at the waist than other goalies, almost like a vulture. Nice to see squaring up to the puck and being in position doesn't get you any credit. itz all teh gear. Nothing will change. Goalies will take about a year to adapt to the new specs and they'll play the same, if not better. Last time we took inches off the gear, goalies only got quicker.

I just photoshopped this. I think this is about enough of a deduction to satisfy myself. Basically thinned out the arms for you all, and lost a few inches off the length of the pads and gloves.
