I'm a big proponent of keeping Hudler, but if the Finals are called the way they were called this year, then hes useless. He was good in the series against Columbus and Chicgao, but his size is a big problem against teams like Anaheim, and when the whistles get put away against Pittsburgh.

I think everyone is missing the point here. Its not talent thats the problem. Its hunger. The majority of the people on this roster will be right back there, fighting for the cup again, once again they realize how much it sucks to lose. This is the reason why repeats don't happen. Its not talent - its hunger.

He probably won't be re-signed, but he was NOT the problem. Newsflash: Samuelsson is a THIRD LINER. It was not his fault that the 7 or 8 more talented forwards ahead of him sucked even more ass.

So were Datsyuk and Lidstrom. And two of those guys have won the cup before. Wheres the hunger? See: Steve Yzerman, ca. 2000. I don't care how great of a shot the guy has; I want a guy that will fight through anything to win his FIRST cup.

Stuart is our #4 defenseman. He had a s***ty finals game, but MANY guys did. Ultimately, I thought Stuart was better than Kronwall and Rafalski for the entire playoffs. I wouldn't be sad at ALL to see the Wings drop Rafalski. Kronwall has too good of a contract for a 50pt Dman. Dman Raffi's NTC. -

I told everyone thats at my house that this would happen. Actually play in the 3rd period, score ONE goal, and lose. To be honest, it wouldn't be right if the Wings won the cup this year. They mailed it in SO much this season. The team that wanted it more won it. I hope you're glad, Wings. Letting SIDNEY CROSBY skate all over the ice with your cup. What a ******* bunch of losers. -

Who wants to sit around saying the Wings played their best though the 1st two periods? Anyone? Anyone? Yeah. They actually play in the 3rd period and look what happens. The Wings mailed it in through 2 periods. If they lose, theres no one to blame but themselves. -

Pang just brought up the shut out for Fleury. MaGuire just said the Pens are going to come out and play "the best hockey of the year" in the next period. Anyone else feel like those two comments were huge jinxes? I'll hang my hat on that for now. -
