Its incredible how off Datsyuks passing has been. Seems like his passes are always getting deflected.

Yup. I just cant figure out why Datsyuk hasnt looked like his usual magician-like self and Hossa is literally hot and cold about every 4-5 games. He'll go from looking like the best player in the league to looking dazed and confused. Franzen and Homer havent looked too hot either.

Depends on what you consider our top 6. Datsyuk, Hossa, Homer, and Franzen havent looked too hot. Cleary, Sammy, Hudler, and Hank have looked pretty good.

The Wings are looking a lot better since Babs called the TO. I just cant figure out for the life me why guys like Hudler and Cleary are looking more effective than Dats and Hoss.

I really think the Wings are just going to carry on with a top 4 of Stuart, Ericsson, Kronwall, and Lidstrom. Because Lidstrom is irreplaceable, it might be a good idea to bulk up in terms of our 2-5 Dmen. Although Lidstrom was taken in the 3rd round, its pretty unlikely that that sort of pick is going to be replicated. We'd likely have to go after Hedman if we wanted another Lidstrom, and the Wings dont have the assets to trade for that pick. As for grinders, you can find some pretty good ones on the free market. But we could stand to draft another Abdelkader for a future grind line, yeah.

This is a thread about what the Wings need. Not what they will likely end up with. They could definitely use some more balance up front.

Yes. They need a first round gem. What does that have to do with drafting one a few years ago? Besides. I was referring to forwards only. I dont see Dmen as a wings need. And those first round gem forwards usually come in the first 15 overall or so.
