Rule #1. You're an idiot. What do you not understand about Berglund being drafted before the Wings had their first pick? As for Markstrom, who cares? ONE guy? Are you aware that the Wings also had several cracks at guys like...whats his name? Zetterberg? And that other guy...Datsyuk? Just because you know a player is good doesn't mean you choose him immediately. There is strategy involved that you and I aren't aware of.

So these losses are all on Ozzie? Has it occured to anyone that the play of Conklin, who looked like the Savior himself last year with Pittsburgh and Ozzie, looking like an All Star last year, has something to do with the fact that they're going from playing behind capable defenses to backing nightly atrocities on "defense"? Anyone who pays close attention to the game can see that neither Ozzie nor Conklin have any confidence to make the stops right now.

If anyone wants to "fix" the goaltending, they're going to be sorely disappointed when another goaltender comes in here and gets hung out to dry when our defense leaves them alone in the slot with an arsenal of shooting opponents at hand. Fix the defense, and the goaltending will follow. Its going to be hard for ANY goaltender to gain confidence playing in front that for-s*** defense we having going right now.

Datsyuk and Hossa pairing up are nearly comparable. Our forward units are chock full of defensive forwards teaming up - Drapes and Maltby, Filppula and Cleary, Datsyuk and Hossa - not helping. We need to shake up our defense. Absolutely no reason not to - they couldn't possibly play any worse than they are now.

Because its been an issue playing with the likes of Draper, Helm, Filppula, and Cleary?

I hate Barry Melrose, but I hate hockey organizations that screw over their fans by making poor decisions that affect the on-ice product a lot more. I guess I'll stick with the lesser of two evils. The Tampa Bay organization is a bigger group of ****** bags than Melrose alone by far.

Reality Check. Thats exactly what we did in 2003. And 2004. And 2006. Welcome to the Jungle. I've said it before, I'll say it again. You don't just "turn it on" once the playoffs roll around. It seems our memories are awfully short. This team has a history of coasting through the regular season on talent and hitting a wall during the playoffs when they face a team whose hunger and motivation far and above outrun ours. Anaheim? Calgary? Edmonton? Those teams had slightly above average talent and an assload of desire. We had a little desire, and a ton of talent. Need I remind you who won? Fact of the matter is, last year we were dominating games AND playing like a team, playing tough defense, playing balls to the wall every night. And what happened? We won the cup. Now some of you think we can just take time off until April yet get the same results? Wrong. There are teams out there that have a ton of talent AND a ton of desire. And almost every night, they play like its the playoffs. San Jose and Boston will roll us over in the playoffs if things don't change relatively soon.

And thats why we should trade half our team for Dustin Brown. But seriously, this team needs a veteran hitter on the squad. Someone hungry and physical. As time passes, more and more seems to come out about the impact Drake had on this team. I hope to god Holland comes up with something by the deadline. Trade Kopecky or Lebda's sorry asses for a Drakian presence on the 4th line.
