Man Datsyuk and Hossa are so close to clicking. They're gonna break out any time.

Much better communication out there. They're doing a great job of limiting Ottawa's chances. They're still not playing like a well-oiled machine or anything, and the top two lines have still looked kind of choppy at times, but all in all everyone looks to be getting more comfortable. Pretty good stuff so far.

I agree with Mindfly. Because of the change up on the top two lines, its causing a lot of disorientation that otherwise is never there. You can tell the guys up front have gotten more accustom to each other, but there still not quite there yet. But of course a Wings team that isn't fully tuned is still a hell of a lot better than almost every team in the NHL. I'd like to see Hank dominate a little more though..

Quincey being waived is more an indication that Holland make the right choice of which Dman to get rid of than anything. Obviously, there was zero competition for the kid and if one lowly team wants him, then they'll get their chance. Good luck to him.

Nice performance by the Wings. Nice to see Hudler of all people keep Heatley in the corner. Theres been way too much leeway on the Sens though. There are plenty of calls that could've been made on the Sens.

Kopecky looks so out of place on this team.

I disagree that Hudler looked out of place on the 2nd line. In fact, I thought Hank was the one that looked out of place through the entire 1st period. That line started to come together in the 3rd period, but up until then, it was more or less pure individual efforts. I really think thats what this loss comes down to. When I was taking a shower this morning, I was thinking over the game the night before and all I could come up with was "what the f*** was that?" I have never seen the Wings look so unlike themselves. It was like watching a mediocre version of the All-Star game where the puck is a hot potato and the game is marked by great individual plays but nothing much of a team effort.

Yeah, so the Wings had 19 turnovers. The Leafs had 5.

For all intents and purposes, this looked like a pre-season game tonight. Everyones unsure of their linemates, unsure of whos gonna be where, but there were some brights spots for the top 2 lines tonight. Should only get better. Can't wait to see what happens when Hossa and Dats start to click more.

I wouldn't be so pissed if I hadn't been so hyped up to see my first NHL game in 5 months. Instead its sloppy, choppy, and an all around letdown. Obviously Im not worried about them in the long term, but I am disappointed that the team didn't even give us something to look nicely on. They played about 4 minutes of good hockey, and got 2 goals out of it to boot, but the other 50+ minutes was pretty unbearable to watch. I was on cloud nine before a 7, so its a pretty long way to fall after such a pathetic effort.

Im so pissed. I get so hyped up for the opening game, and all that comes of it is frustration.
