Flip has played his worst game as a Wing tonight. I wouldnt be surprised if hes feeling the pressure from Babs and co. to be a more offensive player.

I never have hope when games start out like this. Too much interruption for officating. Too much similiarity between minutes for dangerous penalties and phantom penalties.

Its not against Detroit, in my opinion, its when a winning team is playing a slumping team. Ive noticed this since the first year under the new cap. Slumping teams always seem to get the calls. Bettman wants to keep the league competitive, and hell do whatever he can to swing a few wings towards suffering teams. Hockey is a business, first and foremost.

What the f***???? The Ducks are ******* immune. Hank was interfered with clearly on that PP, yet no call. Mowers gets two for almost breaking Clearys neck, yet Lidstrom gets the same minutes for tapping a Duck. This officiating is terrible, and the Ducks fans cant know very much about hockey from what theyre booing and cheering.

Our D will settle down. If people are worried about the defense, they need to realize that it takes a period of time to adjust when you are replacing a 25-30 minute logging top 2 Dman, where youve had the same top 2 for, what? 3 seasons? Rafalski has played his entire career in one system. Try and remember how long it took Datsyuk and Zetterberg and our other scoring forwards to adjust to last years defense-first style when theyd played on an offense powered Wings teams for their entire careers. Rafalski will only get more and more integrated into our system, and when he does, our entire D will become more steady. And Im not sure if it was in this thread or another, but somebody said it was a longshot to get Ryder. Thats bulls***. If the Habs are down and out, Ryder will be the first one on the trading block. So...Drapes gets the boot???

Hell yeah it would. Kronner had an awesome game tonight, so Im not sure what the problem is with him. Hes only gotten better in his 6 games this season, and is poised for a break out. Hes really turned up the physicality as well.

Yeah it is a longshot, but hes exactly the type of guy who would help those youngsters flourish.
