I think there are just too many negatives in the replay of this hit for Pronger. He leads with his arms, they're up very high, he slams Homer's head into the glass with his elbow/forearm, follow through on the hit, pushes homer down to the ground, and then you see Homer rolling over slowly on the ground with a bloody forehead and a look on his face that says "I can only eat mashed up peas for dinner." I really dont see how Pronger can get away with that. But then again, with the NHL, you never know.

Add on to the fact that the NHL probably didnt even have TIME to have a hearing with any of the Flames guys, and the fact that McLennan's actions were a "one-look-and-you-know-hes-getting-suspended" thing, and this hearing says a lot for Pronger. I think we might be seeing Pronger get a game here.

What Iggy did in game 5 is a far cry from what Pronger did last night. Theres brutality and intent to injure written all over that hit.

I also think home ice is overplayed, unless its a game 6, but the Ducks arena was probably the worst atmosphere Ive seen so far. Even before they were down in the first. However, I did enjoy the noticeable cheering when Detroit scored.

You know what, Im just happy that weve knocked off two ignorant dumb-ass groups so far: The "Ducks in 4" group, and the "Ducks in 5" group. How many analysts called for those numbers? Upwards of 50% easily.

You know, Ive been lurking around other sites on the internet (not the Ducks) for opinions of what fans of other teams think, and Id say about 90% (excluding Ducks fans) think Pronger should at least get 1 game. Add on to the fact that Versus AND TSN are sayings its suspension worthy, and Pronger just may be up in the press box for Game 4.

Detroit came out gangbusters from the 1st minute of the game. And its because Anaheim didnt play well? I thought Detroit played awesome, and Anaheim played well in the first 10 minutes or so. It wasnt until the 2nd period that the wheels feel off for Anaheim. I cant imagine that the 2-0 score had nothing to do with that. Either way, the Ducks played very well in the first 2 games and only came out with 1 OT win that was, even now, a little questionable. If Anaheim was playing like Detroit was in the first 2 games, and Detroit was playing like Anaheim in the first 2 games, then it speaks volumes about Detroit when we nail them 5-0.

Its not Detroits style. Detroit is quickly making known their reputation of being a classy organization to even the most casual of fans. Personally, Id rather have that. Its not like Detroit is letting Anaheim take it to them. It was a cheap shot by Pronger, but other than that, Detroit is going *** for tat with Anaheim in the hitting department. That tells you right there that Detroit is ready for any legal physicality that the game entails, but will step back from the cheap stuff.

You ******* Ducks fans just keep on coming in here and proving your hockey ignorance. You know NOTHING about hockey if you cant tell that that hit was illegal. You want Bertuzzi to go after Pronger? Personally, I want Bertuzzi to still have a job in the NHL more than goon it up. The LAST thing Bertuzzi needs is to engage in the Anaheim goonery. His reputation precedes him.

Granted, hes played 1 more game, but Lidstrom is 2nd in scoring with 17 points in 15 games. If you noticed on the PP, the Wings had to give regular shifts to their 3 and 4 lines, and that entire 5 minute major didnt feature Homer at all. The PP guys get tired with all that PP time. I wouldnt worry too much about it. The Wings came through on the PP when they were energized and had their complete units in the 1st period.

Detroit is used to the time change by now.

Because the Wings took it to them. The Ducks got worse and worse because the Wings were actually on their game.

Trust me. There are a lot of Wings fans who are starting to retrospectively like the Sharks. After what Anaheim and Calgary have shown in these playoffs, it only proves that the Sharks have a classy team. Good for the players and that organization.

Haha are you serious??? I can think of about 8 Red Wings who had a better game then Marchant did. Did they praise him for not joining in on his typical goonery/cheapshotting? Was that the reason?

Props to Babs. What a coach. Gotta give him a LOT of credit this season.
