Reasoner of all people had the winning goal in a shootout versus Colorado. I think Colorado is now 5 points behind Calgary with games all even. Its looking more and more like Calgary will lock up that 8th spot.

I thought the same thing. And not to mention, Bert is CLEARLY more comfortable playing the RW than the LW, yet Babs put Homer on the RW when Homer can lace up in either position easily. I think Bert with Clearly would be a good idea. As far as Im concerned.... GET LANG OFF THE SECOND LINE!!! Thats the crazy part. A double-whammy doesnt happen like this often. You come back from being off for four months...to a completely new team!! Thats gotta be a hard adjustment.

Its no longer exciting if Detroit wins 50 games. Its expected. Its par for the course. Look at all of us on this board...pissed off about not landing the first seed by now. We're spoiled. Wings fans are spoiled. The season is basically a wash for a lot of fans. The Playoffs are where its at and even then, its about playoff depth with this organization.

Must we have a thread like this every week??? The seats in the lower bowl are more or less all sold to corporations. If they dont use the tickets, die hard fans cant. Get over it. Its happening in arenas were teams have had continuous succes.

Ill take an invisible Holmstrom over Lang and Sammy's standouts as sucking ass. And nobody gets on Homer not because of favorites, but beacuse hes a workhorse. Haha I do the same thing when Lidstrom passes to Lang. And he always loses it. I think the only time Lang actually works hard is to LOSE the puck because NOBODY can do it as well as he can.

The only hope I see in this is that Detroit flopped into the playoffs in 2002 (...and 1998 I think) and had some success in the playoffs then (just a little) while theyve been rolling into the playoffs the past few years and, well...we all know what happened there. yeah I know what youre talking about. Mickey was pretty pissed too. I dont think Mick likes Sammy either. Hes made some comments about him lately that arent too appreciative.

That was a seriously Vezina-winning performance and the team blew it. They showed up for part of the third and OT and - SHOCKER - it wasnt enough. I feel sorry for him too. I agree with everyone here. If we cant get it going against awesome teams (Vancouver), average teams (Calgary), and s***ty teams (Columbus), what else is there??? This team is coasting, but Im glad its happening now. When they find themselves out of reach of the first spot and stuck in 4th, maybe thatll be enough to pull their heads out of their asses.

Say what you want about being an armchair coach...but NOBODY besides Babs and his man-love for one hit wonder players wouldve put Sammy out there. Hes sucked balls in every game sans his first one back.
