ehh. Ive already seen this. This doesnt strike me as charismatic. Guys like Cooke, Luongo, etc are guys I can get behind. If they had more guys like that, more guys like Hull, Shanny, even Holmstrom, theyd be a more fun team. Detroit needs more of it too. I dont want to sound xenophobic, but I think it has something to do with the language barrier. Go ahead. Pick your poison. See how underrating a team works out for you.

Dont forget Kopitar. I dont care how many shorties Staal's got or how many points in a row Stastny has, it should be Malkin. 30 goals, most points, fewest games of all 3. 5 GWG, 1 OT. Yeah Staal's got 28 goals, but hes got a lousy 10 assists. Ultimately, I bet one of the Canadians win. Malkin is been so underrated this year its frickin sick. Hes tearing it up with nearly 80 points and all you hear about are the Canadians.

Datsyuk scored in a hardcore playoff-like game last night, with below average linemates nonetheless and on Mikka Kiprusoff. If you ask me, hes a more mature player than he ever was and his role as a leader has grown a lot. He still had 3pts in 5 games last year coming in cold right off an injury. I think Pavs lights it up this playoff season.

Hey look at it this way: We beat Nashville in spite of it, and we only lost to Calgary - a team on their top game - by one goal, and they probably wouldnt have even had that goal had Hasek not flopped around. I think its impressive weve done so well with the calls not going our way.

For 5 years??? YES. 3 years Max at 2M MAX would be fine, but 5 years?? The kid is going to get a lot more ice time next year, and hes already proved he can put up the points in a top 6 role. Plus hes a mature, well-rounded player a la Hank. 2 more years in this league, and hell be hitting his stride. Thats probably 2 years hes going to know he could be making more than 2M. Why would he do that?? -

I cant believe people are freaking out about losing to a team that got a helping hand from the refs, cant win on the road, were entirely healthy facing a non-healthy team and needed to win to save their playoff asses while the Wings sit comfortably in the standings.

I cant understand why people are so worried about this. 1. Calgary played their BEST hockey. 2. Detroit played AVERAGE hockey 3. They only lost by one goal 4. They battled through terrible officiating 5. All of this with a depleted offensive corps.

Why are people freaking out so much about this spelling a playoff exit for the Wings??? 1. The Flames are awesome at home, suck ass on the road. Last time I checked, that was 50-50 2. They need this game more than the Wings do. 3. They are in the 8th spot on a 3 game losing streak 4. They're healthy. Seriously, shut up already.
