I agree with him 100%. Physicality is and will continue to be an issue up front. I think the Wings should try hard to re-sign Markov. Hes been solid since day one. As for Homer, thats a no-brainer. The wings can clear major roster space by dropping Schneider, Datsyuk, and Lang. And if Willy can get shipped off, all the better. Drury, Modin, Guerin, Sykora, Sturm, Handzus, Nolan, Perreault, Doan, Hartnell, Kariya, Gomez, Kozlov, Sim, Bertuzzi, Blake, Asham, Walker, Fedoruk, Fedotenko, Tucker, O'Neill, Zubrus. Hamrlik, Hannan, Sarich, Witt, Vishnevski, Phillips, Markov, Souray, Sarich Biron, Hasek, Howard, Giguere, Norrena, Sanford The options in goal arent exactly ideal, but with there being a ton of physical players available as free agents come July, Holland really has no excuses for not making this team a more physical, faster team.

Man, he played out of his mind tonight. He deserved that win more than anyone out there tonight. He played better than Manny and Sanford, especially given that between both Blues goalies, they faced what, 3 tricky shots?

I agree. A shutout streak to me is just one more excuse this Wings team needs to fill their heads. Just like the Presidents trophy, a shutout streak doesnt guarantee anything in the playoffs!

Honestly, who cares about the shutout streak. Its just incredibly sick the way this thing panned out. Nothing went the Wings way. Joey looked more like Hasek out there and the lone goal scored was by Chelios..on Joey.

If Chelios hadnt scored on Joey, and this thing went to a shootout, I would be pissed. The only person that deserved anything tonight was Joey MacDonald.

I'm sorry, but these statements are ridiculous with Chris Chelios in the winged wheel. Chris Chelios in the prime of his career was one of the dirtiest players in the NHL and nowadays hes considered a Wing through and through. Theres a reason why the majority of old NHL fans hate his guts, many red wings fans pre 2000 being some of them. Back on topic, the mere fact that the Red Wings are looking at a guy like Bertuzzi makes me happy. They are looking to make big moves that get this team scoring and size. You simply cant complain about that. I would welcome Todd Bertuzzi with open arms should he join the team and play well. Probert was a crackhead, Brodeur slept with his wife's (now ex-wife's) sister. They still did their jobs and thats what theyre here for.

We completely dominated that period. My one wish is that when our PKers get scored on, its because the penalty that was called against us was valid. Not some lame call.
