I think it was a bad idea to put Franzen and Datsyuk together. Frazen might be holding the stick a little tighter trying to get that 35th goal, and Datsyuk might be because hes trying to hit 100. Maybe putting them with guys that are playing a little looser, like Hank and Hudler, mightve been a better idea.

How come whenever our guys split the D, we never get the call. But whenever the opposition splits the D, we always get a penalty.

I really think Samuelsson should be demoted to the 4th line come playoff time. He might provide some spark to the 4th line that he isnt giving on the top 3.

Thats no shocker. Conklin will get a raise, and Howard makes slightly less than Conks did last year. I just pray to god that the Wings keep a bit of a cushion in the event that they need to add a goalie at the deadline.

Hudler is a ridiculous set up guy. Too bad hes stuck with Samuelsson most of the time.

Some of your comments come out of left field, Eva. For a guy who endlessly backs up Kopecky, you should know what bad skating looks like. Franzen is strong and quick on his skates. Hardly anything close to a bad skater. Kopecky is the atrocity on skates.

Haha wow. I hadnt thought about Franzen's contract vs Filppulas. Or Clearys for that matter. I would be happy with any of them going.

Exactly. But I don't think 3.9 has been confirmed yet. It could very well be off by a little. 3.6 would still be a great deal. This also wouldn't be nearly as bad of a deal if it weren't for Rafalski, Stuart, and Cleary all having NTCs.

Making a save on Samuelsson shouldn't even count as a save. Christ, if you a fairly wide chest, you're guaranteed to stop 99.9 of Samuelsson's shots.

If Franzen stays in the vicinity of 30 goals, 3.9M won't be hard to trade even if he does have an NTC. That basically just means "Franzen, we want to trade you, so put together a list of teams you'd be willing to accept a trade to."
