You're getting oversensitive and running into hyperbole that wasn't even in the topic at hand. You stated that goalies making 1.5M aren't expected to win the Vezina. Fact is, there are some that are - namely Mason and Lundqvist. And the fact that they are or were making less than 1M because they are on rookie contracts is actually a testament to their play, not in opposition of it. Who expects rookie goaltenders to win the Vezina?

When you're a good, young goaltender? Steve Mason makes less than 1M. Lundqvist was nominated on his rookie contract too.

It hasn't really been his friend at all this season. Poor guy. He works like a horse, but its not coming easy for him like it has in the past. Hes been better since he got those contract negotiations off his back.

Except for the fact that you're being incredibly annoying now with these repetitive posts. On a more interesting note, Kronwall is playing worlds better without Stuart. Colorado's defense is ridiculously protective when they have the lead - and theyre good at it too. Once their lead is erased, they're more focused on moving the puck up the ice - and they aren't good at that. Advantage Wings.

I dont think theres really a Franzen or Hossa debate, now that Hossa signing for 6M has actually become feasible. I've been vocal about taking Franzen over Hossa, because of depth/salary concerns, but that was in anticipation of Hank and Hossa each making around 7M. But if you consider that Hossa and Hank could potentially cut us 1M a piece, thats 2M saved, and if the difference between Hossa and Franzen is a mere 2M - 4M for Franzen vs. 6M for Hossa - then the choice is obvious.

Hossa has a good chance to finish 2nd in goals this season. Hes only 2 behind the Parise and Carter for 2nd overall.

Is it just me, or has Hossa scored a lot of soft goals this season? I'm not knocking him - I'm actually complimenting him. I think its because Hossa's release is so quick, that the goaltenders don't get set quickly enough. They don't expect the shot to come so quick, and it makes them look like idiots.

You know, the good thing about this is that all the penalties on Colorado have been good ones. The hook on Dats, the unsportsmanlike, the hi-stick. None of those were gimme penalties.
