Hes had a slew of offensive chances where hes made the wrong decision. He either passes when he should shoot, or shoots when he should look for other options.

How much time has Hudler played this game? Seems like hes been out there a lot less than Filppula has. Which would make sense. Considering Filppula is clearly the better offensive talent.

Just what I was thinking. When you have 12 minutes left in a game where you have to make up 2 goals quickly, shorten your bench Mikie. No point in putting out the line of futility just to waste time.

Anyone else noticed the s***ty job O'Hallaran has done tonight in general calling goals. First he immediately calls a puck that never went it a good goal, then he immediately calls a good goal a bad goal.

The fact that he was shot in Detroit makes it pretty realistic to think he harbors a little ill will for anything associated with the D.

Seriously. It speaks volumes that O'Hallaran doesn't have the stones to go up to Mike and address him, because hes knows he made a bulls*** call. The sad thing is, if any other NHL ref is reffing this game, he sees that goal and not for a SECOND does he think "oh, thats not a good goal." To an unbiased ref, that goal is good 11 times out of 10.

If we lose this thing by one goal, thats two OT or regulation losses in a row that we can chalk up to arbitrary NHL intervention.

Yeah I noticed that too. Puck was past in, he gets bumped. It was going to be a goal no matter whether or not he was touched. I can't believe we were literally just robbed of a goal with no apparent reason.

What goalie interference call? There was no penalty. It was just an arbitrary "I don't like the fact that you're staging a comeback" call.

Kronwall has been among the worst in defensive play this season. Tonight just happens to be the breaking point. Edit: And as I post this, Kronwall gives up the puck 10 feet away from the net.

This is ******* awesome. Having a fighter to back you up makes the Wings much more willing to throw the big hits.

If you think I'm describing Kronwall, then you don't know what a shutdown Dman is. Kronwall has never been, will never be, and will never come close to a shutdown Dman. Its questionable whether or not Kronwall will ever be a solid defensive presence in general, let alonea shutdown Dman.
