DAMNIT, this is HORSE!
-
yeah i have a new respect for jeremy, hes an AWESOME personality, and man he loves the game, hes a trie fan, not just a player! crap games on!
-
actually TSN is trying to do the same...they have Jeremy Roenick commentating....hes actually pretty awesome ... Roenick was arguing that the idiots that be should not mess with hockey, stop trying to change everything that is legacy and history, NO 4 on 4 in OT during the playoffs. The one TSN commentator said "I think its better for hockey, and so the games dont go on so long" Roenick said, "HOCKEY IS ABOUT LOVING THE GAME, IF YOU LOVE THE GAME YOU WANT TO WATCH IT LONGER" TSN commentator says "its more exciting shorter and 4 on 4." Roenick says "You have never played the game, you dont even love the game....you just WORK it. If you cared about the game at all, you would be hanging on the edge of your seat and living for OT" I almost stood up and cheered...more people need to protect hockey the way we have it and stop trying to alter it. In that sense Hull, Shanny, Chelly and Roenick are frickan awesome and necessary to offset cementheads like Bettman!
-
I love how alot of us Red Wings fans also like the Rangers...awesome! As Brett Hull just said of SHanny and Avery's Rangers, "LETS GO RANGERS" They went over the Datsyuk goal AGAIN in todays pre-game. This time Hull didnt imply all goaltenders are boneheads. Hull seems a little more tame today. I think someone told him to tone it down a bit. He's been over the edge for a week or so now.

a broken arm usually results in a player crouched over writhing in pain for a minute, holding their arm tightly in shock...schneider's whole shoulder was instantly dropping, i think its a separated shoulder...he wasnt grabbing at his arm at all
-
exactly, and he even was thinking ahead and did his patended move one way, shoulders the other way move... STUPID COMMENTATORS! so is it 4 on 4 sstarting the third? did someone say homer got one as well, and we're starint the 3rd shorthanded?
-
hope there were no penalties against us at the end Bertuzzi is looking better every shift....he almost scored there late in the 2nd. Pain train is resuming his trade! LETS DO THIS! LETS GO RED WINGS! as for OH GOD they just said Datsyuk was lucky? UM he positioned himself for it. He might try that ten times, and it only works once, but each time hes TRYING to do the intercept. Therefore its not luck. Luck would be not trying to do something and it happens...argh! I thought turning off the horrible canadian TSN feed would get rid of the anti wing bias, it appears NBC isnt much better. as for schneider, the way he didnt grab his arm, and just held his entire right shoulder low, it seems like a shoulder to me.
-
Touche! however Bert might not have got a shot on that late period shift, but if i remember right there were three sharks collapsing in on him....and knowing that theyre blocking EVERYTHING the wings are throwing at the net, im assuming he knew it would be a wasted shot, perhaps deflect bak behind him leaving an odd man rush
-
Bert must have been reading the LGW thread, lazy and sucks last night, cause hes the best forward out there right now, and he's handling the puck very well transitioning from one direction to the other... we need to capitalize on Guerin being out, check the hell outta the Sharks in the center ice, and eliminate 2 players.....thornton and grier, you eliminate grier and it probably wont be coming in so fast. seems like the wings just wont hit grier...at least give it a shot, even if you dont knock him down you might get him off the puck. damn@schneider out.... LETS GO WINGS! pull up your socks boys, it wasnt a good goal scored against you, so ignore it and start working for some goals, not just playing D.
-
im with you, lame.....RANGERS in 7!
-
Yes please change it, i just got home from work at 4am, and almost had a heart attack. i was ready to go to sleep then my adrenaline kicked in after reading that scary headline, OMG! NOT COOL!

It already feels great to have paid back Calgary for them beating us in 2004. Iif we play consistent hockey for 60 minutes for 2 more games we can pay back San Jose for beating us in 1994. Anaheim has taken out Vancouver, which means no slanted canadian reffing calls (even though the refs rarely help Ottawa or Montreal). I swear refs are told to make more calls against the more skilled team to unfairly keep the games close, seen it in many series over the last 5 years). Now that Anaheim has won, we have a chance to pay them back for 2003. If the lucky number 7 is on our side, which it seems to be with our 2 miracullous 0-2 comebacks against SJ and the 2OT winner in Calgary, then we will face Anaheim next and defeat them! That would mean NJ would have to emerge from the east so we could beat them for 1995. I could definately see that happening, but I'm hoping it will be an original 6 matchup between Detroit and New York (which are my 1st and second fav teams). Would love to see Shanny and Avery again as well. But if it means we have to meet NJ for luck to be on our side, then lets bring them on pay them back and get another cup. Yes I'm being supersticious, but then again so is almost every hockey player. LETS GO RED WINGS!

thanks for the catch up... strange to hear about brodeur flubbing shots, i saw the replay where he let one in from the side...very strange...hes a great goalie. ottawa has traditionally found a way to lose though for so many years, it's rather annoying because they lose to teams i cant stand lol. I kinda hope Ottawa wins though, i dont mind them, and i dont like NJ at all!
-
touche...however coaches can only do so much. i think trotz and co are doing something right, nashville looked really good this year, and I was surprised they flopped in the first round (even with floppa)
-
Detroit Red Wings, vs New York Rangers. My two favorite teams Det 1, NYR 2 Get to see Shanny and Avery again! Two of the greatest captains played in Det and NYR, Stevie and Mess (stevie turning the team around longest serving captain in any sport, and mess the only hockey captain to win with 2 diff teams) Both teams suffered through the eighties and turned it around with cups in the 90s. Joey Kocur and Ron Duguay bounced back and forth between the two clubs 2 or three times! Joey won with both! both teams are skilled, not just a bunch of thugs (the bobbly clarke philly mentality), neither are a trap team, and there is potential for a real exhibition of what hockey can look like if its played with skill, class and grit. very popular big market teams, both original six. My gf says their colors dont clash on the ice lol, it looks like a nice big american flag on the ice when they play eachother. i hope i can see a Det NYR cup before i die. lol Ive played way too many EA Sports games over the years hoping it would happen. Wings over Rangers in 7 OT.
-
i forgot theyre down 3-1, im so used to them winning, however if theres a team that seems to be able to come back when you least expect it, its NJ.. I havent had time to watch the NJ games, have they been playing very poorly, or is it pretty even and they're just getting bad breaks?
-
oops meant 1995, my bad, corrected that. so used to typing 200x now you guys have any supersticions or things that point to the wings having luck and destiny on their sides this year? You see any trends that might see us win it all this year? I sometimes think we've been stacked and only luck has made us lose at times (that and work ethic and penalties). For some reason i think luck is on our side this year, and the boys will now pick up their socks, play complete games and run with lady luck
-
OMG thanks for the heads up...i was worried all morning! Thank god thats all it was.... now i can sleep in peace...good post
-
after watching that on my dvr again, i noticed lang actually went offside as the puck got knocked back to filpula, and he quickly did a circle and timed it perfectly to get back in ONSIDE... WAY TO GO LANG! WICKED PLAY AND HEADS UP TO NOT GET THE OFFSIDE! LETS GO RED WINGS CLAP CLAP CLAP-CLAP CLAP
-
hey i think lang has had some great shifts over the last couple games, maybe inconsistent, but showing alot of promise, when hes on his game as of late, hes starting to turn on the burners, faster on the puck, keeping it in the zone and setting people up for chances.... i see him on a streak now..... GO LANG GO! im really hoping anaheim wins, so we can do a complete payback year this year, calgary, sj, anaheim, i guess in the cup that would be NJ, but i want a 7 gamer against my 2nd fav Rangers with shanny and avery! yes he did, i love that guy!
-
please SOMEONE give props to Filpulla for taking on two big Sharks, getitng the puck from them twice along the boards, grinding it out with guys bigger than him, skating close enough to almost be hit by a third as he crossed the blue line, and then making a beautiful little pass to Lang....51 was TRUE GRIT on that play, i rewound it like 30 times.....watch 51 just before lang gets it.
-
Hey Fishies, don't count your chicken (Wings) before they hatch! LET'S GO RED WINGS! Poor Guerin, of course it has to hit my fav shark PS was Homer on the bench at the end, they mentioned on TSN that he hadnt played in OT at all! IS HE OK?
-
very well said

WINGS IN 6!
-
i like a blowout if its in our favor lol long like the 2002 vs colorado blowout game 7 but it was more entertaining than game one and two, but i dont know if its a big pad, or the pace just isnt as fast as the det calgary series.
