Did you get the tickets first-hand? By the way...I bought 2 extra tickets to the game with the purpose of selling them. It might be too early but I'll be looking for a buyer. They are in Section A6, row 14.

Go to https://teamexchange.ticketmaster.com/html/...p;team=redwings It's not scalpers...it's actually great prices on tickets that ticketholders didn't want to use. The Flames game on March 12th has tickets starting at $27 each.

Wow...I know I'm not one of the bigger contributors to these forums but I just hate it when people use it as some sort of news aggregator...especially when there's no comment or insight added AND it's old news...this story was released a full 30 hours or so before this thread was started. Even if it's a new story that was jsut released...add something to it other than just a link if it's not really important. I'm sure someone will, in turn, hammer me for this comment but it just burns me...worse than leaving the cap off the toothpaste!

Glad you'll get to see a game finally. Although there's nothing quite like a game at The Joe. With all the Swedish interest in the current Wings roster it should be an exciting show.
-
I understand what you're saying about us coming there but Im equally impressed by people from Germany and Sweden that have never lived in Detroit but yet have been fans for decades. I'll definitely bring this up again when we get closer to the game...
-
I looked to see if they had more lower level tickets at about 10am mountain time and only singles came back. There will be plenty available after market. I bought 2 extra for game 1 but probably won't sell them until much closer to the game. I don't think most people even knew the tickets went on sale.
-
Maybe some native Swedes will come forward and show some of us foreigners around the day of the game...always nice to get the insight of locals and learn some things that as a tourist we might not come across...
-
That is just the link to the game on Oct 2nd. If you search their site for 'NHL' you'll see both games come up.
-
I wouldn't be surprised if they're gone by now...they've been on sale for just over 20 minutes now. But you can try http://www1.ticnet.se/PriceTable?eventId=G...p;tempNo=587599 and see what they have available...this is the Swedish TicketMaster. I had my tickets emailed to me within a minute after paying.
-
Have you had problems with ticnet? If so, what exactly?
-
http://www.globearenas.se/sv/evenemang/187...hl-premiar.aspx It lists tickets for 595 - 1895 Kr. 595 Kronars is about $70 US. It also says the tickets are released (I assume means on sale) Feb 25th. 'Biljettsläpp kl 09:00 den 25 februari. Max 6 biljetter per person och match.'
-
Looks like tickets start at $65 each but the arena only holds about 13,000...Airfare is only $1000 each...not bad. I just got the verbal OK from my wife so if I can get tickets I think we'll be there.

I would hope to hell that it never happens and feel safe saying it probably never will. But those saying they won't move because of Little Caesers are a little misinformed. I understand Illitch owns both but it's a business. They won't dump profits from Caesers into the Wings. If the Wings became significantly unprofitable (which again won't likely happen) then they'd have to look atmoving the team. But the Illitch's are good business people and you don't risk one to save the other. They are separate entities which, for the most part, must be self sufficient. I'm sure someone will come back and argue this but they'd never be so irresponsible as to float one wiht the other.

Of course, as crazy as it sounds, there's always http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&saddr=...amp;t=h&z=8

I have DirecTV and last year I had the Center Ice package and the Fox posrts package (which included FSN Detroit). For all but a couple of the games, I was able to watch the Detroit broadcast on FSN Detroit (and FSN Detroit HD). Now, the question becomes, if I didn't also have the center ice package, would they have blocked the games on FSN? I haven't called to find out yet. As of now, I have the whole package because I like watching other games as well. But would be interesting to know.

Does anyone know when individual game tickets go on sale? I live in Denver now but am coming in to town with my wife the weekend of October 18th and wa want to catch the Rangers game. She's from Denver (and unfortunately an Avs fan) and has never gone to a real venue.

As promised...here's the photo of the finished product. Thanks again for the picture. Below that, since it was right there, I figured I'd include a photo of one of the more unusual Red Wings items I have. I had several kipahs (jewish beanie things that we have to wear) made when I got married. I live in Denver and several of my groomsmen are from here (Avs fans) so I made them wear them for photos. http://www.nalpakj.com/images/LGWPic1.jpg http://www.nalpakj.com/images/LGWPic2.jpg

I need some help please. I'm having a signed Probert jersey that I've had for a few years framed and need a good 8x10 of him...I want it in the frame also. I've gone to a few places in Denver (where I live) and can't track one down. I also searched around the internet a bit and didn't come up with much. Does anyone have any web sites, or stores I can call that will ship, that are likely to have some selection? Thanks
-
Thanks Winger...that'll be perfect after a quick trip to get it printed nice a professional like. I publicly proclaim your rock-itude-ness!

OK...thanks for the incredibly obvious guys. I wouldn't have thought of eBay or Google on my own. What I'm finding primarily are either Blackhawks photos of fight photos. So, again, thanks for the obvious, but was asking for specific places that you knew of to look. Not an internet search which I already stated I did. Anyone else?

Just heard on Fan590 that Sundin isn't going to be making a decision soon. He needs to think about what he wants. That's going to screw up some teams.

My favorite comment was about 6 down from 6/19 at 11:55 am. "Then come the copy-cats....Denver does have a tradition...it's called being classy. There is nothing classy about killing, tossing, or throwing an animal." Apparently he forgot about the game in Denver in, I think 2003, when the game went to overtime with two Avs in the box. WHen this happens in OT during the regular season, you get a 5 on 3...the poor fans, who in their defense simply do not understand the rules, didn't get why the Wings got 5 guys on the ice in OT and as soon as the Wings got the GWG, they started throwing everything they had on to the ice. Now that is class! Here's a pic of part of the aftermath. http://divealanche.com/imagefiles/1_bottles05.jpg

Is there typically any preview of where the Cup migh tbe brought by the players? A web site, etc? Seems like a perfect thing for Google Maps. I'm sitting in Denver right now watching a web stream of the parade wishing I was there to take part in it. But would be great to know where the cup will be so I can try to meet up with it. Anyone?

Ya know...there was definitely contact against Oz but then again, he went out a bit too far fishing for the puck with all that traffic around in the first place. He wasn't allowed to get back, but IMO he shouldn't have taken those extra couple pushes/pokes at the puck before trying to get back in. if he played a little smarter on that play, there wouldn't have been the opportunity for the interference that followed. In the end, it's a non-issue. There were plenty of other mistakes on our end and if you play messy enough to allow one back goal to settle the game then you deserve to lose the game. We're still up in the series and will straighten things out in game 4.
