He's 39. I'll be surprised if he's playing in two years let alone four.
-
I'm sure it's true, they're just denying it until it's official. Happens all the time.

Well as a Pistons fan, I'd rather have him owning the team than Karen Davidson. As a Wings fan, I wouldn't be concerned because he can't go over the cap anyways. As a Tigers fan, it would be a little concerning though, considering how much baseball players are paid.

I'm really starting to wonder if Illitch is going to buy the Pistons. Something's up.

That is AWESOME.

2010 Winter Olympics - Sweden vs Finland (Group C)
Trapt1307 replied to redwings8831's topic in General
No you were right. Goal differential is the first tiebreaker, but I was thinking that they would be tied in goal differential because on there it says that they both have the same goal differential. If Finland wins, they will have a better goal differential than the US though, obviously. So yeah, like you said, the U.S. needs Sweden to win or take it to OT. -

According to Wikipedia if Finland scores less than four goals whether they win or not, they will be the one seed by virtue of scoring more goals. It's wikipedia though, so who knows. -

Anybody know scenarios for the U.S. to get the one seed? I read somewhere else that the U.S. needs Sweden to win, or go to OT to be the one seed, but I don't know if that's true or not. Getting the one seed and winner of Switzerland/Belereus would be HUGE while Canada and Russia get to battle it out to get to the medal round. -
Scherzer, Schlereth, Jackson, Coke, Damon>>Granderson That's why they traded Granderson. Pitching should be really strong this year.

People compalined about Thorne too. I remember here specifically, people complaining that him and Clement were Avs homers after almost every single game with them. People just don't appreciate the announcers until they're gone, I guess.

The Wings have been pretty awful this year, but if they can get 100% healthy and go on a little streak, this is definitely not a team SJ or CHI wants to see in the first round. Kind of reminds me of Anaheim last year. And I really think that if the Ducks would have beat the Wings, they would have won the whole thing.

If you watch the very end closely, it looks like Franzen is trying to keep the guy that pushed Cleary away from him.
-
Pretty sure Khabibulin does. I'm sure quite a few of the Russians probably do.

Just because Holland denied it, doesn't mean it's not true. How often do you hear about sports executives denying something and then it actually happens two weeks later? He's not going to say yes because it's likely still being worked on (if it is actually true). It makes a ton of sense. The Wings need a new arena, and partnering with the Pistons is probably the most realistic option. The Joe is a hole. It may have a ton of history, but it's a hole.

Jeremy Roenick says "a big fall is ahead for the Red Wings"
Trapt1307 replied to Vladifan's topic in General
He's just mad he didn't sign here when he had a chance. Probably eats away at him that he was on the verge of being on the team that won in 02. -
Are you effing kidding me? Kane is 21 years old. Franzen is 30. Take your red and white glasses off for a second.
-
Holy Moly... No way. Kane may be a ******, but I would take him over Franzen in a heartbeat. Datsyuk vs. Toews is debatable. Datsyuk is a better player right now, but Toews has a much brighter future. I would probably take Toews, to be honest with you. He's their Steve Yzerman.
-
Yeah, but Fedorov basically slapped the organization in the face when he left.
-
Chelios is not even remotely close to Shanahan. I would say Shanny and Fedorov are about tied, Osgood maybe after them, none will go up. Fedorov would have been a lock with Lidstrom had he played his whole career here. Hopefully Datsyuk and Zetterberg play their whole careers here, they are both locks if they do.
-
Rather see them win than the Red Sox...about the only positive.
-
Williams>>>>>>>Samuelsson All that matters.
-
Wow, every time I see you post, it's negative. You take WAY too much out of the first couple of games of the season. They'll be fine...four seed at worst.

Never really understood why he was so hated before, never really stood out to me as a liability.
