Jimmy Fallon is horrible. I have no idea why they gave him his own show. I feel bad for him sometimes, his jokes are so bad and nobody laughs.
-
Surprised he lasted as long as he did with the new rules.

The thing is, if you re-sign Hossa, you pretty much cement yourself as a contender for the next five years, with a forward core of Franzen, Datsyuk, Zetterberg, Hossa, and Filppula. The problem is, you have little wiggle room to do much else, so if it doesn't work out, you're pretty much screwed. You never know though with Wings scouting, the way they bring in these cheap players and they end up fitting right in. Whatever ends up happening with Hossa, I'm confident that the Wings will be right back where we want them to be very soon.

As much as I hate Chris Pronger, I would absolutely love him on the Wings. He's one of those guys who you absolutely hate if he's playing against you, but love him if he's on your team. Chelios did it, and he was probably more hated around here than Pronger. Having said that, it will never happen.

Won't happen. Hossa will be re-signed, and the Wings will be in salary cap hell for the next seven years. Just the impression that I get. I really think Hossa will be re-signed. I wouldn't mind seeing Hossa and Samuelsson being let go to allow a little bit of flexibility, Hudler as well if he demands too much money. The Grand Rapids kids have proven that they can play in the NHL. Give them a shot, and fill out the roster with Laperriere type hungry role players.

I disagree with the idea that "The Pens have largely outplayed the Wings in five of six games." Did the Pens really outplay the Wings in the first two games? Really? If anything, they were a wash. Did the Pens really outplay the Wings in game 3? That game was probably the closest game of the series. So I'll give you two out of the six games where the Wings were largely outplayed, and they still nearly tied game 6 multiple times in the last ten minutes of the game. In fact, they pretty much dominated the 3rd period of game 6.

I have a ton of respect for them, except #87, ofcourse. Seriously though, Bylsma deserves a ton on credit. Him being from Michigan makes me like him even more
-
I've heard either or. Definitely not "Michiganite" though. haha

I don't know, I'm seriously contemplating it. I didn't get to see game 7 live against the Ducks because I had to work, and I remember thinking that I was glad I didn't watch it live when I watched it on the DVR because my heart would have beating out of my chest for the entire game. I don't think I could take it if the Wings lost this game. Even if it's close and the Wings win, it will be rough. I'm actually scheduled to work this Friday, so there's a chance that I won't even be able to watch it until about halfway through the 3rd. I'm trying to get out of it though.

I agree that past statistics mean nothing and the Wings could easily lose game 7, despite how the previous 15 game 7's of the Finals resulted. However, it does speak as to how difficult it is for a road team to walk into an opposing arena and win in game 7 of the Finals.
-
No way I would watch it. No way I could stomach Crosby winning the Cup, especially at JLA.
-
Wow, wasn't expecting that.
-
There's a Pens one too.
-
Yeah, you're definitely not alone.

I actually meant to say finals, I knew about the Pens and Canes already doing it this year. In the Finals, off the top of my head, the Canes beat the Oilers at home, the Lightning beat the Flames at home, the Devils beat the Ducks at home, the Avs beat the Devils at home, and the Rangers beat the Canucks at home. When was the last time the road team won game 7 in the Finals? Anybody know?

I'm feeling really confident about game 7. As much as most people around here thought this series was over, realistically you'd have to think Pittsburgh had a much better chance at winning game 6 at home than the Wings did. It would have been nice to win in this game, but whatever. Game 7 is at home. I know the past has zero effect on the present, but when was the last time a road team won game 7 on the road in the playoffs? The crowd will be completely nuts, and you have to figure it's going to give the Wings a huge boost. Realistically, I think the Wings have about a 75% chance of winning game 7. It is game 7 though, so you never know what will happen.

There is plenty of pressure on Pittsburgh. There's no such thing as a game 7 in the Finals where there's no pressure on one of the teams.
-
Game 4 all over again. Way to come out with some fire.
-
Pittsburgh had two power plays, the Wings had none. Pittsburgh outplayed the Wings. The longer the Wings keep it tied, the more of a chance they have to win. I'll take it.

If the Wings lose tonight, I don't think I'll be able to sleep until Friday. -
And just so I don't jinx anything... Not as good as last year IMO.

Could you imagine having enough time on your hands to post 150 messages on a teams message board that you don't even like? Let me guess, you're at work, right?
