Who exactly would we have signed? The odds of signing multiple players to one year deals is slim to none, and that's about all Wings brass would have been comfortable handing out last year.

Look at it this way, If it weren't for Hossa and his two goal performance in game 4 against Anaheim, the Wings probably would have lost that series. Hossa might not be scoring as much as we'd like him to, but he's still one of the best players on the ice in every game. Crosby's hardly done more than Hossa in this series, and the Pens NEED Crosby in order to win. The Wings don't NEED Hossa. He's a luxury.

I see a lot of Crosby in Kane too. Seems like a whiny crybaby...His celebration after the goal he scored in game 5 irritated the crap out of me. I've got no problem with Toews though.

I don't really remember anybody saying the series was over (besides retarded Pens trolls). Everybody was concerned, but I don't think any Wings fans thought the series was over. This series is far from over, though. Still gotta get one more. Don't celebrate yet.

Well Malkin was supposedly sick last year and look what happened. The Wings dominated that series outside maybe four periods. Take Malkin out of the lineup and insert a healthy Datsyuk and this series is probably over. And I don't buy the "Wings are old and tired" BS either. Every key player outside of Lidstrom and Rafalski are in their prime or early 20's.

Probably the Pens overall, just because of tonight. The first three games were fairly even, with the winning teams holding the slight edge. This was the first one that was pretty one-sided. I think if Datsyuk was healthy, this would be a completely different series.

At the beginning of the series, I figured it would be 2-2 after four games. That's a positive, I guess. The Wings have home ice advantage in a best of three series, the odds are in their favor.
