He picked the Wings last year too. Better yet, John Buccigross picked the Pens last year and this year.

I don't really understand why everyone's acting like Malkin did nothing all playoffs last year, and now he's some completely different player. He was fifth leading scorer in the playoffs, and only had two points in the finals. I highly doubt he is going to be able to keep up the pace he's playing at against the Wings. If he does they're going to win, but I highly doubt he does.

I do think that the Pens are getting a bit too much credit for the Carolina series (they were actually more impressive in their playoff run last year imo), but predicting a sweep is a little much. I'll say Wings in 6, 5 if everyone's healthy (most likely not the case). I think the back to back games are a disadvantage for the Wings not only because of the injury situation, but also because it's extremely difficult to win games on back to back days, so it kind of takes away from home ice advantage. Pittsburgh beat Washington on back to back games and they also had to travel, so who knows. Go Wings.

Not to mention, Columbus was in 5th until about the last week of the season. There were a ton of national people picking Columbus as the dark horse team this year, upsetting the Wings.

I don't really remember Hitchcock complaining about the refs in that series. He's about the only coach that I can remember taking his beat down with class.

Why do you even post here? It's obvious you're just trying to start s*** with every post you make. The Kronwall hit was clean. I've seen many Kronwall hits that were much worse than that, and I've wondered why they didn't call a penalty. That was nothing, good hockey hit. If they would have given him two minutes, it would have been a bad call, let alone a game misconduct. Having one of your top four defensemen thrown out hurts, especially when you're best player isn't playing, believe it or not. Having said that, who really cares anymore. The game is in the past now. This is the game that I marked down as a loss at the start of the series, and my Wings in 5 prediction is still looking good.

I can't believe the overreaction in this thread. Did anybody really expect the Wings to sweep?

My heart says we'll win, my head says we'll lose. Not a must win, but it sure would be nice to take a 3-0 lead in the Conference Finals again. Hopefully Datsyuk is good to go.
