Did you think Giguere could single handedly sweep the Wings in '03 before the series? Nah...Bulin looks beatable to me.

I just feel like he's capable of winning a series on his own, and they have a decent offense so that could spell trouble. Chicago and Detroit play a similar style, so I think the Wings would matchup well with them. Having said that, I said at the beginning of this series, and I still feel like the winner of the Wings/Ducks will end up winning the whole thing.

Yeah, Hiller hasn't impressed me in this series. Their defense has, Hiller hasn't. I do have to say though, I have a really strange feeling about this series. Before this game, I was really pessimistic about this series, but after watching the Wings in the third, and the fire they showed, I know they're going to win this in six. It's crazy, because they looked so bad for the first half of the game, but I really think that the no-goal is going to light a fire under this team.

It's the right decision. He didn't deserve to be suspended. The game misconduct was plenty.

Actually, I'm pretty sure almost all people with cable have it. The problem is, a lot of people don't know where to find it.

I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that the only ones to go to games in DC are the die hards.

I remember them trying to do this two years ago I think it was, it looked horrible. Most people weren't even wearing the shirts. Giving out the shirts is way played out anyways. Everyone is trying to copy off of Calgary and Winnipeg (even the NBA) and it's starting to get lame. It's cool when one or two arenas do it, not half of them.

Ugh...I reeealy don't want the Wings to play the Ducks in the first round. The travel and the matchup scares the crap out of me. It doesn't look like Dallas is going to pull this game off, so it's looking like it will be Anaheim unless Phoenix pulls an upset tomorrow. EDIT: wow, nevermind. Ca'mon Dallas...

I wonder what he was almost traded for in 2002? I remember hearing that he almost signed with the Wings one year when he was a free agent, but I had no idea that he was almost traded here.

They just clinched tonight, with Chicago's loss. Chicago can get to 107 points (what the Wings have now), but the Wings would hold the tiebreaker because the Hawks can't match the Wings win total at this point. Pretty crappy way to clinch, but whatever.

Not really a theme song, they just used it for warmups, which is perfect for that song. It's all over the place now...it's in Madden 09 too.

They did it I think the day before the parade. I remember seeing pictures either in the Free Press or the News of the players putting all of their stuff on for the last time before they all cleaned out their lockers. I'm not sure where you can find the picture though.

I know I'm going to take a ton on crap for this, but I don't like them. I think the old oilers combo is ugly as hell. I don't know why everyone is so obsessed with the vintage look either. Some of them look good, but there's a reason why most of them went away in the first place. I don't know, maybe it's because I'm not old enough to appreciate the old look...
