Honestly though, I would be shocked if he's not amongst the top 2-3 by the time all is said and done as long as he stays healthy. I hate him, but the dude is talented.

Yeah, that's why I used that song. I remember that video and couldn't find it anywhere. The funny thing about the 06-07 highlights is I didn't even realize that they were from 06-07 until after I finished the video. You can tell by the Stars (I think?) old style jersey that they stopped using after that season. I was gonna change it but I figured it wasn't worth it. There are some pretty sweet tributes on youtube from that season though. I think the thing that put that team over the top was hunger. They just wanted it more than every other team that they played, and you could tell. I think a lot of the fire was lost out of this years team because they had been there the last two years, they just didn't want it as much as some of the other teams did. The talent will be there, it's just a question of will.

Hmmm...maybe because they just won the Stanley Cup? There's not a whole lot to talk about on an NHL board in the middle of June, believe it or not. Again, LOL at yet another Blackhawks fan that goes on a Red Wings forum (better yet, this one just registered) two days after his team won the Stanley Cup because he's more concerned with the Red Wings than the Blackhawks. Kind of ironic, seeing as the discussion is about them being the ones obsessing with the goings-on of a team that lost in the second round when they just won the friggin championship. How many threads were on this board about Colorado after the Wings won in 08? How many Crosby sucks chants did you hear afterwords?

LOL at a Hawks fan visiting a Red Wings forum the day after his team wins the Cup. Even when they win the Cup, they're more concerned with the Red Wings. Hawks fans are such a joke.

As much as he hated on the Wings, I always did like him. One of the few guys out there who would say what he actually wanted to say as opposed to being politically correct for every interview. A lot like Chelios.

Yep. The Lions still get way more coverage and attention than any of the other teams combined, despite sucking ass every year. Imagine if they ever put a good season together. Every one of the other three teams have pretty bandwagon heavy fan bases. As far as the Hawks go, I can't wait to see them lose all of their depth in the offseason. Glad this season is over. I am happy for Hossa though.

Seriously, I don't understand Lidstrom's motivation. The guy has nothing more to prove, so why not take a paycut so the team has some cap space and a legit change at another cup run? Bringing back the same team as last year, minus Bertuzzi and plus Hudler isn't going to get the job done.

No problem. I actually like the logo on that old Caps 3rd jersey you posted but the colors are horrible. If they recolored that with their current color scheme, it would be sweet. I like what they have now though, especially their shoulder logo.

Simple answer... no. The ONLY way Montreal (Philly is going to get killed if they make it) makes it watchable is if Halak plays like he did against the Caps and Pens. The Wings would have killed either of these teams. I'm preparing myself to see Kane (as much as I'll get flamed...I'm rooting for Hossa, he was a class act here) lift the Cup.

See, this is what I don't get...if he's coming back, it's gotta be because he wants a cup. In order for this team to win another cup, he needs to take a big time pay cut (down to like 3 million?) so they can make a significant signing. Otherwise, he might as well retire IMO. What else is there for him to prove?
