They weren't going to build a new arena in five months. This is for next year, Palace or Joe (if they can sort something temporary out with the city). They're still getting a new arena, but it will probably be like three or four years before it's done.

Maybe Lidstrom wouldn't want his 16 year old son an ocean away from the rest of the family? Guess it happens though, so who knows.

I do think Hossa gets a bad rap. Really, he's been nothing but a class act before, while, and after, he was a Wing. We all knew it was like hitting the lottery for him to sign here, and we should be grateful that the guy turned away long term offers and more money to sign here for one year to try to win a cup. I would root for him to win, because truly, he deserves a Cup, but that would require rooting for Chicago...so no. If he goes back East to a team other than Pittsburgh, then I really hope he wins a Cup.

I guarantee you guys Pittsburgh isn't going to win. Whoever comes out of the West is going to kill them...which is why we all need to root hard for Chicago to lose.

They're doing great this year, aren't they? You should become a Tigers fan. Seriously though, I don't know how some of you can root for Chicago. I probably could if it weren't for Kane and their fans (although I do have a ton of respect for Toews...he's their Yzerman), but man...it would be a sad day if they won. Imagine a Pitt/Chi Final.

I'd like to see Boston or Montreal...neither have a chance in hell IMO. With Vancouver going down tonight, it looks like they're probably done. As long as Chicago and Pittsburgh don't win, I'll be cool. So...go Sharks? (Assuming the Wings don't pull off a miracle)

The Wings are actually in a better situation this time around though. In 02 they had to win games 3 and 4 on the road. Seriously guys, don't give up.

This has nothing to do with what Lilja said, but I have a crazy feeling that the Wings are going to win this series. Just a gut feeling. Same feeling I had when the Coyotes went up 2-1. Pittsburgh did it, why can't the Wings?

Pretty good game actually for the Wings. I thought they carried the play for a lot of the game. Outside of that 3 minute stretch, they exceeded my expectations. They'll be alright.

People defending Bertuzzi for the Moore incident...seriously, take the red and white goggles off. There's no way you can defend that. It would be interesting to see the thread on here right after the incident happened, I guarantee you he was getting ripped a new one.
