THANK YOU RED WINGS I don't even really care what happens going forward. If you would have told me that this team would make it past the first round let alone make the playoffs back in December, I would have slapped you. They've already exceeded my expectations, anything more is gravy. :clap:

The sad thing is, if Pittsburgh were in the West, I'd be shocked if they got out of the second round. Instead, they're getting a cakewalk to the Finals for the third straight year. The only legit team they've played in the East the last three years was Washington last year.

LOL @ this guy. He's whining about a lack of "class," and then he says "Maybe you have to act uncivilized to survive in a city like Detroit." Now that's class. What the hell does that even mean? I love how ignorant all these morons are that love to bash Detroit fans like we're all animals because we live in the Detroit area. Any money says this guy's never even been to Michigan.

Whatever happens, there needs to be a shakeup. This team isn't going to get it done going forward. They're starting to remind me of the pre-lockout Wings. Whether they're tired or not, they're starting to look stale. Lidstrom or no Lidstrom, Kovalchuk or no Kovalchuk, they need some fresh blood in here. This will be an exciting offseason for sure, can't wait to see what happens.

St. Louis in the early 90's was the last time they played a game 7 on the road. Who cares about these useless stats, though. Carolina went into New Jersey and won last year, Pittsburgh did it here...happens all the time. Home ice is pretty useless in the NHL.

Yeah, there is no way in hell that the game is at 7, more than likely 10. Babacock was probably talking about the game today being a day game gives them a little more time to prepare.

For the most part, the crowd sounded dead for the first two periods. There must be something with the crowd mics at JLA compared to other arenas...I've been to games and barely been able to hear myself think and then see the replay of the game and it sounds dead on TV. Other arenas sound so much louder than the Joe on TV, it's kinda weird.

I really think the Wings will still win. They're just...better. They haven't played well in five periods in this series, but when they have played well, they've absolutely dominated. If Phoenix wins on Tuesday though, it's over.

As long as they don't go down 3-0, I'll be confident...just because they'll have two straight games at home. How many times in the last few years have the Wings gone up 2-0 in a series at home only to come back home for game 5 tied 2-2?

Meaning there was blatant interference, I'm assuming. Really not all that concerned though. If they lose the next game, I'll be worried, but this is pretty much what I expected. Nobody thought this would be a sweep, and it's extremely rare that the Wings don't lose a couple of road games in every series, so there's no real cause to panic or anything. Penalty killing needs to be better obviously. They'll be fine.
