He would be restricted.
-
Joakim Andersson played 9:45 on the 4th line in a 5-3 win against Brynäs tonight. Cashing in on a rebound, he notched his first career SEL goal.
-
It's actually 2008.
-
All right, listen. He can sign a contract right now. A contract with the 2008-09 season being year 1. And with no transfer agreement in place, Färjestad will probably demand some money for him, or they might not let him go at all. That's how I interpret this situation, at least.
-
Well, Andersson played 14:19 in his second SEL game, registering 3 shots on net, a hit and a minor penalty for cross-checking.
-
Do you really think Pronger would go at it with a fourth line enforcer? Cleary is at least a second liner, and Pronger probably knew that when he dropped 'em.
-
Wow, Cleary fought Pronger? That's pretty impressive. Anyone got a video? Never mind, found one. Cleary really does a great job fighting someone that much taller. And Pronger gives him a couple of shots when he's down, what a surprise.

Coming right out of Sweden's #3 league, that's pretty much "tearing it up." MÃ¥rtensson doesn't have an out-clause and Voutilainen is too small for the NHL. And then there's the age difference, as mentioned just above this post.
-
No, not next year. But there are more years ahead. With the Canucks he'd get 5 games at the most with the Sedins, then he would be traded or sent down. That's how they operate in Vancouver. If he signs with us, he can slowly adjust to the NHL game on the lower lines (with some power play time, of course) with not-so-high expectations. But if he wants the pressure rightaway, he's gotta sign with the Canucks.
-
Why is he being called 'the next' Alfredsson? I watched him yet again yesterday, and he doesn't remind me of Alfie at all. He's more like J.P. Dumont.
-
Pronger has a pretty bad fake laugh going there. "Aha. Ha. Ha. Hahaha!"
-
Joakim Andersson made his SEL debut last night, playing 4:01 and registering one shot on net against Färjestad, Frölunda's archrival. He started the game on the bench as an extra forward (you're allowed to dress 20 skaters in IIHF hockey), but was put on the fourth line in the third period. However, he was immediately promoted to the second line after a couple of pretty impressive shifts. Tomorrow, versus Södertälje, he'll be starting the game on the second line.

"Kronwall And 1st Round Pick For Sundin?" No. Horrible.

That was actually with Team Russia, not Dynamo.

Alexander Ovechkin is in Washington to stay. To RDS and Sovietsky Sports, it appears that the young Russian forward is going to sign a six-year contract extension with the Capitals worth $54M. http://www.rds.ca/hockey/chroniques/243499.html Nothing is finalized, TSN is reporting. RDS.ca is reporting that Ovechkin had agreed to a six-year extension worth $54 million, however a source close to the story has stated that nothing is finalized.
-
Come on and score on one of these effing power play chances!
-
He sure did. Still hoping for him to come back here. He isn't good enough for the NHL, though. He pretty much proved that last year.

Ken Holland in Sweden looking at some potentials...

Yeah, definitely. Videll > Ryno. -
Exactly. Besides, Zetterberg has said he would be willing to re-up below market value.
-
Yes, right now he'll have the highest average salary next season.
