5. Wings PP is so bad it hurts to watch. I'd almost rather not see it. If we don't score on the PP next game, kiss that game and the series goodbye I actually get up to pee during our powerplays because I know we won't score!
-
If we lose this series (I'm not saying we will or I want them too), then mike should be fired!
-
Lang is awful and most likely will be resigned this summer because mike thinks he's such a star player. Just venting.
-
These losses go beyond the players and straight to babcock. He is being outcoached by a rookie. Babcock has shown no ability to adjust whatsoever. The powerplay and penatly kill are atrocious - then do something about it mike. Change the personel or change the style. I can't believe a coach can watch game film and not adjust. You're all talk mike. Get a set of balls and do something!!

Non-Michigan fans: How did you become a Wings fan?
Wildwings44 replied to Chaldean's topic in General
I was born in Detroit a short drive from old Olympia. Now I am a season ticket holder living in Illinois. -
Agreed! Keep talking and it will bite them in the ass. Do they really think they can intimidate the Wings???

Hull's comments on Datsyuk not wanting to re-sign
Wildwings44 replied to KronwallCRUNCH's topic in General
I always liked Hull and would certainly stick up for his outrageous comments. After hearing him on NBC and what he said about the Wings and Datsyuk - I lost a tremendous amount of respect for him. -
Cool thread - thanks My jerseys: Yzerman, Kronwall, & personalized. My Wife's jersey: personalized My Son's jerseys; Yzerman, Chelios, Shannahan

That's good stuff ay. Thanks for the post!

You should probably check out Hockeytown Cafe and/or Chellis Chilli. Both are near each other and near Tiger Stadium. You could park at Greektown Casino, get you parking validated, and travel around via the People Mover. Have fun.

Two chubby homers. It would help if they knew the game of hockey. Lots of over-exaggeration.

very cool

If they haven't brought up Bootland the last three years, why would they bring him up now?! Also, I don't believe any teams inquired about him during the trade deadline.
-
I met and sat next to Brent Gilchrist on the plane ride home from the Yzerman game. Very nice guy. Talked with him about family, life, and hockey for about a half hour. He let me hold his Stanley Cup ring (awesome). When my son was 7 months old I took him to his first hockey game in Grand Rapids. Hudler came up to my son and gave him a puck.
-
Good for him. I'd be surprised now if the Wings let Big Bert wear #44.

Time to relax! Yes, that is sarcasm. Just trying to have some fun. The autograph idea was a way to get people to read the thread and see who would be at the game from LGW...... Oh, and if we're really talking about autographs, mine holds more weight. :-)
-
Well, if anyone is at the game from LGW - meet at the Yzerman lego man (outside section 216) during the first intermission. I'll have on my Kronwall jersey and a 19 Yzerman hat.
-
With the way he's played after the concussion, that where he belongs!
-
It was nice meeting some of the LGW faithful on Yzerman night. Hope we can do it again.
-
Agreed, I believe it's crucial to the team that he is resigned. Hopefully it won't cost too much. Good to hear they're getting somewhere. Thanks for the post!

Yikes! What a price tag. Holland would have been a moron to make a deal like this. I can only imagine that a Guerin deal would look similar. If that's the case - no thanks! One has to think about the future.

You must not be watching the game very close, just watching the highlights, or only watching one player. In response to the thread: the Wings have shown more grit the last two games. Several of the guys are playing with an attitude. Although I don't condone flying elbows, it's nice to see the boys dish out a few. Keep it up!
