Obvioulsy, the Thrashers or the Panthers should be the first teams to be considered to being moved North first. Technically, the BJs are farther east than Detroit ... but Bettman will make sure the Wings stay in the West. Just to think how the Wings would perform in the East without all of the travel time they have being in the West.

He had a hard time keeping pucks in when the Wings were in the offensive zone and had some bad clears coming out of the defensive zone. But I would agree that he improved through out the game. With Doan and the rest of the Yotes head hunting this game and obviously will be doing the same thing going into Game 4, somebody is going to have to be expendible to stop that from happening.

Mental note to Babs... tell Big E to take off Doan's head early in Game 4. That way we don't have worry about Big E playing for the rest of the playoffs and Doan won't have to worry about going back to Winnipeg.

Homer gets a goalie interference call every time he is near the crease and then when he gets out of the box and starts playing in the defensive zone he gets a delay of game for clearing the puck over the glass. Homer had 3 delay of games in the last 4 games so I see this trend continuing.

And how many of us were surprised when Babs went with Ozzy half way through the Preds series in 08'???

What's the tie breaker if the Wings win and the Stars win in regulation or OT? Only asking because the Stars and Hawks would be tied in points and ROWs.

Agree. Remember the 08' cup run was the Preds, then the Stars, then the Hawks. The Wings never had to go out of the Central time zone. The West coast games are killers when the team with home ice advantage is in the Mountain or West.

I was at that game. Pretty sure it was Rise Against - Savior because I was actually surprised people were singing along to it (since Rise Against is usually only played on modern rock stations). They only play the chorus part of it though and not the beginning of the song at the Joe.

This. Clearly not an intentional elbow to the head. Can't blame the ref for calling it seeing in full speed, but later the VS commentators basically pointed out the Bert was trying to lay off and Johnson tried to adjust to the hit and that's the way it went. I can't see more than a 1 game if any for this. We shall see....

Hoping that Ken does the PBP call like he did last night on VS.

Just got back from the game. OMFG the Joe was just nuts in the 3rd. By far the best Wings game I've been to despite the SO loss. Way too many Pens fans there but I guess that made being at the game a lot of fun. As others have said, very happy to get a point out of this game.

Sucks that Pavs and Mule won't be playing. I'l be at this game S222 R6. Was looking forward to Howie giving Cindy another well deserved face wash, but oh well. Just hoping the Wings can start putting together a string of home wins going into the playoffs. Gonna be really pissed off if Cooke is playing in this game.

I was just wondering if anyone is watching this. JR is the new commentator/analyst on this program. It's kind of like NHL2Night when ESPN was running the show but it’s an hour long instead of the old half hour program. Maybe a little more interesting to watch now with the trade deadline coming up.

Yep that's what I do. Have always been able to grab a smoke, take a piss, go back in and grab a beer and be in my seat with minutes to spare before the start of the next period. I would suggest parking in the Greektown casino parking garage. Lots of good restaurants within quick walking distance. If your in the mood for Greek food the Pegasus is a great place although PizzaPapalis has the best deep dish pizza east of Chicago. There's an Irish bar right across from Greektown called the Old Shillelagh that has a shuttle to the Joe in which you bring your beer with you and drink on the ride to the Joe. It's a fun ride to the Joe. If you want to get in and out of the Joe quickly though the best place to park is the Cobo Hall roof parking lot. I've never spent more than 5 minutes getting out of there after the game. Easily worth the $10 charge.

Good analogy. Spend time in CA with his family or go to work with the NYI for 250K.
