Awesome game. What??? 9 goals and no Arby's curly fries???? This has got to be some kind of conspiracy!!! Bad enough that Arby's downgraded to curly fries from a sandwich last season (and like they really got killed on that promo last season).

I agree. I think that Lilja is the major part in the equation right now regarding any FA decisions. This is the first time that I can recall the Wings scrapping for forwards this early in the season though. -
Hope Willy gets well soon. Saw the replay a few times and Micky kind of mentioned that it looked like the Joe Theisman break which was a compound fracture that ended his career.

Stupid Buckeye cable. The game was listed on the programming guide on the designated FSN+ channel so I set it to record and what do I get???? college soccer. Thank god the game is on CBC

Just a huge and important win in a young season for the Wings. Was impressed with Howard against the Avs, and after this game, I have a lot more confidence in him. Hope Ozzie can get out of the funk, but I don't think it's that bad. Hank, Pavs and Bert had a great game.

Looking forward to Helm finally getting into the lineup. Can only think that the Wings are just resting Draper has he's the guy that takes a lot of the important face offs.

Pasha just owned AO in this game. Watching AO getting pissed off and slamming his stick (due the back checking against him) against the back of the Wing's goal was priceless. Pasha is just the better round player period.

If you look at the second replay on the hit, there were a couple of hits to the head with the elbow.

Yep feels weird watching the Wings on opening night in the afternoon, but it is going to be so cool. Looking forward to the FSD broadcast for Saturday's game. Should be some interesting perspectives from the FSD crew.

That might have been a little mean, but yes, he is an Avs fan (although it has to be kind of hard following hockey being an Avs fan right now). Almost have to feel bad for them Avs fans now. At least Foote is still in the mix.

LOL one of friends just called asking why he couldn't get his Avs game on VS. Although he is an Avs fan, I was nice enough to inform him that DirectTV dropped VS (just didn't bother telling him until he tried tuning in). He pretty much went ballistic. Thinking that he will be getting CI free and probably a lot of other programing after he gets off the phone with them.

Seriously, I was over it before it was even over. The 95" debacle kind of took a few years off of my life, but I think everyone saw how it was going to end last season. Cindy has been lifting the Cup that everyone knows that he does not deserve.
