A good rule as icing should have it's consequences with the new rules. Got pissed when they went to the TV timeouts after an icing as the newer rule made no sense when that happend. One of the best things about watching hockey is that there can only be 3 TV timeouts per period that can last only a minute and a half per break. Makes watching football very frustrating when watching a live game.

Where did you find that out from ( any source)? Yeah who ever did that kind of deserved what that got if true. Public sale is on Saturday @ 12. Does anyone think that there might be some opening night tickets still available. I checked during the presale yesterday and couldn't even find individual tickets left from TM.

Somehow the purchase screen for the home opener came up about a minute before 10:00 for me. After I completed the transaction I went back to grab another pair and they were gone. Not quite sure but maybe there will be some up for purchase for the general public when they go and sale Saturday @ 12:00 PM

WTF?? The PW was supposed to be leaked as a PM between LGW members, meaning the fans that who are actually at or watch every game of the freaking season get an opportunity to try to get the tickets they want. http://www.letsgowings.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52980

Good idea. I really want to land a pair of tickets for the home opener. Signed up for the official site (well LGW is really the official site IMO) to get tickets for Stevie's # retiring but wasn't able to grab tickets. They have sent me the PW for the last couple years (even though I wasn't paying for it) but nothing so far. Would have figured I would have gotten an email by now.

The Wings play their first preseason game on 9/24 but I can't find any info on which preseason games will be televised.

Thanks for the update. Hopefully Center Ice will have the free preseason preview again. I remember that's how I got to watch the preseason games that weren't aired last year.

Cheli was signed for two simple reasons .... depth and as a mentor to the up and coming D. He's rarely out of position and he has been paired with the younger D the last few years in order to help them develop.

I think tickets usually go on sale around mid September (used to be for the first 3 months of the season but the whole season went on sale last year). Thought maybe the DetrointRedwings.com site might have some info but seems to be down. Anyone else know of the date. Hoping to get a pair for the home opener.

Thanks Scotty, but did you have to throw on a Hawks jersey to just completely piss me off? Crap this guy knows our system in and out and with the team the Hawks have now, the Central is gonna be ruff this year.

Completely agree. I think Nolan just went from one bad front office to another in his career. I always thought that he has been a great coach and has just been paired with bad management. Would love to see him as an AC here.

Let these guys feud as much as they want to. It's kind of pathetic that it will make front page news in Edmonton and have a rare chance of even making the news in any newspaper in Cali.

With everybody running out of Pittsburgh, why was this not a surprise? The person that wrote this article has absolutely no clue. Yes it was a surprise that Hossa chose the Wings, but other then that, this reporter's conclusions do not make any sense.

The signings for the 2001-2002 seasons were amazing. But with the cap in place, the Wings were able to make a lot of room due to the fact of their awesome drafting. It kind of all flows together. But to be honest in this cap world, singing a 4th D and a top FA is just unfathomable . The Wings just did that.

Completely agree. Holland made references to that as well. I mean who would not want to play for this organization and with these players.? Hossa really exemplified what it means to be a hockey player that wants to win it all. Thought Sundin would bite first, but Hossa's style is a great fit into the Wings system. So looking forward to this next season but curious as to how Babcock is going to play the lines now with Hossa in the mix.

OMG never saw that coming. Great job Kenny!!!! Remember watching the Wings play the Thrashers last season and the Ken and Micky were talking about is how Hossa would be a perfect fit for the Wings (he scored a hat trick against us). Now we will get the chance to see that.

Gonna finish off the collection with 3 t-shirts to buy yet. Can I get some suggestions where to order form. Checked out Amazon and they want $20 to ship 3 shirts. Not gonna do that.

The Wings have a budget for bringing in a first or second line player for a one year deal. Just a one year deal and I am sure that an elite player will bite on that hook to have the chance to get the Cup. Would not be surprised if Sundin, Nasland, or Bertuzzi comes into the lineup ( Not in any order, but we all know the Wings organization will try to make the most of the cap this year)

Caught the end of a commercial for M.V.P. and had know idea that it was based around hockey. What network is it being played on??

Thought about buying that but I still have the puck from a Storm that gave me 7 stitches to the chin (yeah the puck took some weird bounces in order to nail me, but I was proud that I finally got a hockey injury )

Kind of cool the Draper was using them (OK he used them twice). Guess it's back to the drawing board.
