It's called a Crosby call because the league would like an underrated team in P team with Crosby on it to win it all and scratch off the WCF winners of a goal and justify Crosby. Worst calls I have seen in a long time. Bad refs and it's getting very obvious. God is this getting more obvious.

Good thread but to tell it all, the Wings are too deep in D and forwards. The Kid has not played against the D and the forwards we have that are great on D. Just a suggestion that you may put reality into perspective.

Would it not be great for Ozzie to break Roy's record. Yeah I know it was great to chase him into retirement but having Ozzie break that record would just be the icing on the cake (especially since they have gone toe to toe)

OK ..... I have watched probably close to 95% of the Wings regular and post season games over the past 5 years (been watching them religiously for the past 13 years), and I have NEVER seen the Wings or any other team for that matter play a complete shutdown defense the way the Wings played in the 3rd period of this game. Completely amazing :thumbup: :thumbup: And yeah in that VS post game, they were all just basically just shaking there heads and speechless. Gonna relish this game for a while. GO WINGS!!!!!!!

No suspensions, that is fine. Let DMac do his job and let this get settled up on the ice. But as a footnote, Turco should have been slapped a fine for his antics during the game as well.

I'd rather see DMac take care of that something in game 3 than the alternative. That way everyone is happy .... no suspension and a new turtle arises.

Man what a dilemma. Watch the game in HD on VS and endure those stupid commentators or watch the CBC analog broadcast.

Another option is to go to the StubHub office in downtown Detroit right before the start of the game. There's a resident scalper there as well.

Best seats I've gotten at the Joe were for the first round game 2 against Calgary last year. Got them the second the playoff tickets went on sale. Section 107 Row 16 Seats were aisle seats right on the red line. Was just like viewing the game on tv with the center ice camera except you are actually at the game.

The game will probably start 7 on Thursday. Anyone recall the last time the Wings have not played in the pacific time zone in the playoffs? I can't (maybe in the 97 cup run???) ... last year we had to play in the Mountain time zone for the first series and in the Pacific for rounds 2 and 3. Kind of nice not playing at all in the pacific this year.

Voted for D. The Wings have just been shutting off the middle and moving the puck almost perfectly through the transition zone. Anybody who watched all 82 games would vote the same.

Yeah the VS guy was trying to interview Franzen and asked "do you want to go pick up that squid over there?" Man if he had known better Franzen would have pointed out that it was an octopus, and not a squid. VS sucks.

Yeah the 7-0 win in a game 7 was the best. To sum that all up we won that series, won the Cup, chased Roy out of the net and into retirement. The sweep against the Avs is awesome, but it won't matter for anything until they bring home the Cup.

Wow this season is becoming so reminiscent of the 2002 cup run. Lidstrom scores on a goalie the Wings were having a hard time to crack in the first series from the red line and then the Wings beat up the Avs in the last game of the series to move on. Wow, was at the bar with my buddy who is an Avs fan watching this game and I had to buy him a few extra drinks to dull his pain.

The word suspension hasn't been used too much in this thread of which I think it should. That was an intentional slash/cross check to face that caused an injury. It was the first thing that crossed my mind after that happened.

Foreskin should not be playing in the next game. The slash/high stick was obvious against Sammy. Crap they actually found his tooth which should be proof enough. I will be seriously pissed off if Foreskin is playing in the next game.

That fight got the crowd even more into the game. Was at the game and watched my DVR'd recording and NBC didn't show when DMac came out the box after serving his 5. He actually got a huge cheer from the crowd coming out of the box skating to the bench. So cool.

OK so we get into Detroit and we are trying to find the StubHub office to pick up our tickets for the game. While we are driving around trying to find the StubHub office, my buddy (an Avs fan) who is driving and sees some guy wearing an Avs jersey getting ready to cross the street. So he starts hitting the car horn and waiving to him and at the same time I roll down the window, flicking him off and then start calling him a pathetic peace of crap. Never seen somebody so confused Yes that was a great day.

Was at the game and didn't see it but I just finished off watching the DVR'd game and could not believe it. The thought that came across my mind was "Don't Mess With Our *******". May the Octi jinx live on.
