My father always buys me a couple really nice seats to the games for my birthday gift. I had to tell him not to buy anything related to the Red Wings do the signings that Holland has made.

I don't think the Wings and Alfie will come to a decision until after training camp. Alfie and management know that if he performs well and Alfie feels that he can go for another season then the Wings will probably sign him to some contract that fits AFTER DK is signed. As others have mentioned this is kind of a double edged sword with Jurco starting with the Griffs if Alfie does sign.

Exactly…Cleary’s signing was conditional with Philly IF he could make the team. Cleary knew that he wouldn’t make the team so he went back to Babcock and Holland and said he wanted to play for the Wings knowing that Holland and Babcock had some weird hard on for him. Hey if he can prove that he can make the roster (almost guaranteed) and be effective, I won’t hate the signing so much. But that is what it is. He’s back and pushing the youth back into GR AGAIN.

Apparently Kim Yung Un is one of the best dancers in the world too! Sorry, 1st round exits and Holland's signings can make a Wings fan kind of senile this time of the year.

I really hope that this is the last comment on this thread... Holland promised to sign Cleary for the 2014-2015 season. Done. Cleary needs to demonstrate in camp that he can make the team. Not Done. Yes, we all make the conspiring suggestions that Babs and Holland will turn a blind eye no matter what Cleary does in camp and put him on the roster. The other alternative.. Cleary realizes that he can't make the team and walks away from the contract . This guy has to understand that a majority of Wings fans completely despise him and want him to go away as well as Holland. Neither will probably happen though.

I could see the scouting staff start dropping like flies after these summer's signings. I mean who would want to put the time and effort into scouting the young kids when you know they are just going to get buried in GR due to horrible signings that take up the kids roster spots with worthless players that don't even belong in the NHL anymore. Absolutely ridiculous. Not a chance in hell I'm going to a game this up coming season if Cleary makes the roster. Steam blown until Sammy's signing is announced.

Wasn't Byfuglien a forward in Chicago that was converted to D because he preferred playing that position? Kind of like Feds in reverse. I wouldn't mind him on the Wings if the price was right.

This! A spot is gone for one of these guys because of the Quincey signing. Holland should have waited to see if any of these guys were ready to get into the lineup AFTER training camp before he would even consider giving Quincey a contract (and I could pretty much bet the farm that Quincey would still be available). And God help us if Holland tried to trade for a RH D (or for anybody). The Wings would get fleeced in any deal that Holland would make.

I think Kronner and Alfie should sit for the last two games, but as others have mentioned, maybe a game against the Canes will help the lines gel a little better going into the playoffs. I suppose that playing Dats is his call. I think he needs the next couple of games to get more of his timing back. Leggy could be a scratch for the game against the Blues.

Iginla got smoked by a clean hit, but he may have thought otherwise. Rinaldo got tripped up by another Bruins player so he was right there when Iginla got up. I don't thing Iggy would have bothered to go after Rinaldo on the next shift.
