Wow, still gonna come down to the last week of the regular season as was last season. If anyone remembers, the Wings had to win out in last week of the last season because everyone else in the race for a spot did the same. All being said, I don't think anyone wants to play the Wings if Pasha is close to 100% and Z can play, and Big E is back for the 1st round.

I just see fines with no suspensions.

Nothing wrong with being optimistic. I got put in charge of planning a bachelors party that is going to start out with watching the Wings/Leafs game ( starting at 4:00P M Vegas time and the groom is an Avs fan). I'm just going to have to find a hockey friendly bar in Vegas to start things off. The Hangover 4 might come out earlier than you think!

This season is just killing me with the injuries and the 3rd period meltdowns. I haven't missed a game in over 5 years but I'm going to have to miss next week's games due to having to attend a shotgun wedding in Vegas (anyone know of a good hockey bar in Vegas??) If the kids can get us into the playoffs and the majority of players on IR are ready to go for the first round, then watch out! Crap.... somebody has to put a little bit of optimism in this thread.

Crap I forgot about the time change (no wonder why I still want breakfast). Corn beef hash & eggs getting whipped up during the first intermission. Forced to watch this online with NBC being blocked by Buckeye Cable.

I'm around an hour and a half from the Joe so I guess that I will be for a single seat ticket at the right price. I spent a lot of time trying to grab tickets for Y's but I'm all about one ticket this time.

Wow, I actually watched 3 games in one day and I got so much work done at the same time. It sucks to say that I can't follow the Olympic thread due to the spoilers, but I'm not complaining. Team USA may have a shot at the gold this time after watching the top teams play in their first games.

Holland won't make any moves as there is too much cap space coming up for the next season. The prospects are proving to be too invaluable to move as well. The Wings need a 1-2 RH D to QB the PP and another RH D in the 3-4 pairing. If you have been watching any games this season the lack of a RH D has been pointed out several times due to the breakouts against the Wings leaving the goalie hung out.. I suppose somebody can comment upon my observations from there but that is the reality of the situation.

I'm wondering if Sammy was waived so late so that another team could take on the rest of his salary which would be around 1.2M for the rest of the season? Of course this waiver was to create a roster spot above all.

I'm liking it too. It does remind me of 24/7 so I setup the series recording on my DVR. I agree that it is cool that the show is covering the different markets.

Is there an online radio feed to the game? I want to see if I can mute the tv and listen to radio feed.

Last "late" night start for folks on the East coast for the rest of the regular season. That's probably the only good thing that will be said about this game though. Go Wings!

That was the most fun I've had watching a Wings game in a very long time! Hopefully a torrent will be out there that shows the FSD broadcast for those that didn't get a chance to see it.

So if Weiss goes on LTIR, can the Wings keep Jurco, Tatar, and Nyquist in the lineup? The kids are showing up and it makes that a lot of fun watching the Wings now.

With the first 2 rounds of the playoffs being within the same division...rivalries will develop quickly. And even though the Pens aren't in the Wings division, I will always hate them.

Agreed. Although if they are saying a minimum of 2 weeks then why not put Z on LTIR to let him rest an extra week. Also that would free up cap room to recall Eaves or 22 wouldn't it?

I've been waiting for this game since last Saturday's game. The Sens knocked the Wings all over the ice last game. It's time for the Wings to pay back the favors (I wouldn't be disappointed if Spezza or Ryan get knocked out for a few games from the "legal" hits that Shanny is going to overlook). It sucks that 22 can't be called up but I'm hoping that some other players step up and play a more physical game.

I decided to look back at the shift that in which Pasha was hurt in. A clear cross check, followed by a slash, and followed by the deliberate elbow to the head in the same shift. Every Wings fan needs to remember that when the Wings play a team from Canada, well we should know that by now. It's not going to be a nice game when the Bruins know that they can get away with any cheap shot or illegal hit and they won't be called for it because there is absolutely not one Wing that can stand up to them.

Yeah I can't remember the last time I've been able to watch a post game! Thoughts....Gus did what he had to do to prove that he belongs with the big club. Unfortunately, I don't think the Wings can risk keeping him up because of the injuries on the D until Holland can move players and free up more cap space (good luck with that as it seems that no GM will deal with Holland anymore). Cleary.... am I wrong for wishing that Babs and Holland suddenly become allergic to Viagra and can no longer keep a hard on for Cleary? Yeah that's wishful thinking.
