I pretty much lost all faith in Babs when he put Cleary on the ice with less than a minute left in the game. I'm recording Thursday's night game but I'm watching the NFL game live instead. Something is "clearly" messed up in management and coaching and I just can't waste my time watching this team anymore as long as Cleary and Sammy get any ice time.

I think there would be a roster and cap crunch when Big E comes back.

I wasn't expecting much from a B2B game. Helmer looked impressive considering it was his first game back. The third line just rocked tonight. If there is a way to get Smith out of the lineup, then PLEASE Babs, figure that one out. Sammy proved that he is irrelevant on this team and should be waived/benched until he agrees to waive his NTC.

I'm in the same boat. For some reason they remind me of those creepy twins in that The Great Outdoors movie.

Staying up until my FFB waiver wire opens up. My parents gave me an incredible seat for my BD (thanks Mom & Dad). I'm happy that the Wings got a point tonight considering that the #1 D pairing was out. That was probably one of the most boring games I have ever been to. Add to that a very drunk lady sitting next to me who first accused me of taking her seat (it was a single seat that apparently is vacant most of the time and she used it to store her purse) and then did the 21 questions thing,; as well as the idiot sitting behind me who was telling his buddies useless hockey facts and rules and trying to commentate the game at the same time.. and YES I resisted the thought of turning around and telling the guy to just shut up. Such a shame that such awesome seats are consumed by people that don't have an ounce of hockey knowledge.

Looking forward to seeing Helmer back in the lineup. It's kind of sucks that Glendening is getting sent back down. He reminds of Helm. Hopefully we will get to see them together on the same line (I recall Mickey mentioning a few games back that they were planning on doing that).

I think most of us are waiting for Sammy to tweak his breast or nipple. Either one will do.

Dos anybody else wish Joey Kocur was behind the bench as an assistant coach again? Especially with Roy behind the bench. Now that could have been a lot of fun. Although I'm sure Babs could hold his own against the wife beater.

So the Red Bird III must be in Oakland then? Hopefully the Tigers are using that until the end of October. Go Wings!! Go Tigers!!

Does anyone know if there are going to be tickets available since the tickets for a March 6th game wouldn't realistically go up for sale until December (for public sale). Still bummed that I couldn't get a ticket for the Y number retirement.

I agree. I think his agent is stunting the negotiations as well that Holland has to package some forwards in a trade to make a signing and clear cap space (which will hopefully bring in a viable D).

If they wanted drama in Vancouver, they just got it. I'm sure they are already starting a pick'em for how many players that will be requesting to be traded by the trade deadline.

I think that everyone is quite disappointed that the Wings blew a 3-1 series lead. But did you watch the season opener against the Blues? That game was like watching an NHL team playing an ECHL team. Did you watch the Hawks blow away the Wings in Game 1 of this series and for the most part everyone wrote this series off as a Hawk’s sweep? This season has been the roller coaster season that probably nobody could have ever predicted. You have to remember that the Wings had to win their last four games of the season because the Wild and Jackets did the same thing. The Wings also lost their two top D in the off season. I've been a fan for over 20 years (and I have probably watched more games than most of you on this forum) and I have never witnessed the adversity that this team has gone through this year with the loss of top players and the injuries that basically kept two of the top six forwards out for the whole shortened season. This team didn't lose any assets at the trade deadline and still pushed into a Game 7 in the second round of the playoffs. Not too shabby if you ask me. Going forward, the Wings can get rid of a few contracts and have the picks for a few trades, and have some cap room to improve a younger team that is only going to improve with the opportunities that they have been given this season and into the playoffs. The future looks quite bright for the Wings.

I'm not sure how to post this, so this is just a copy and paste of the song that I listen to when the Wings are in a win or out situation (been happening too much this season). Seems to work every time though. Yes it worked and hopefully this makes it into Z's and Dats Ipods before the game.
