I caught a glimpse of the 3 headed beast. Hossa-Datsyuk-Zetterberg! I thought that should scare 'em and they were immediatley back on their heels and almost got scored on... Oh well. As was on display last night, Datsyuk is the most all-around skilled player in the NHL.

I certainly hope so. The past few seasons, the Western Canadian roadtrip has been tough so this could be a treat! I don't count those Nuckies out just yet though... I've done very well with the 3-2 Wings prediction vs the Nucks, so I'll stick with that.

Lilja's always been a frustrating player to watch. He will make good hits, good plays and then do something incredibly stupid to erase his good play. He almost did it last night when he inexplicably threw the puck in front of the net on the pk to a guy who was covered and not expecting it. He got away with it but that would have been classic Lilja. But it's good to see him playing well for a change.

Lilja's been brilliant so far tonight in all aspects. What gives?

Roloson has been known to give us trouble. I predict that the Oil will stay out of the box for the most part unlike us (cough zebras) and will give us a good go but we manage to squeak by in regulation on yet another Franzen game winner. 4-3 Wings.

I knew Hossa was an elite forward but I didn't realize how fast he is! A coupla strides and he's at top speed blowing by people.

Wrong. He doesn't need a lot of help to score--he can do it himself and he knows where to be. There's no doubt he's hot and he's a force but it's a bit premature to put him right up there with the best. Time will tell.

Babcock is just doing his thing... unless there is something that isn't being made public about Ozzie, It's pretty obvious he is trying to get a competition going and well he should.
