There's no conspiracy you stoops, the game of hockey reaches religious proportion (I lived there for 6 years) in Vancouver and there's the perception that the wings are an elite, well-funded team that deserve no breaks whatsoever. On top of that, they've never won a cup in Van. That's just how it is...

Kindl should either be packaged in a deadline deal or given a chance to be moved up to forward. There's some things i don't think you can't teach in hockey: two are offensive prowess/playmaking and the anticipation and judgement/poise needed for sound defensive play. Evidence for the latter? Lilja and Fischer played with Nick Lidstrom for a couple of years and never caught from the best. Period. End of story.

We'll get a good look at him in the next few games. Hopefully, he'll have a good NHL debut. BTW Kindl is nowhere near being NHL ready IMO. He makes way too many mistakes from the 10 games or so I watched him in. He's got several years to go. Defensively, he has way too many lapses playing at a level where he should be solid, if not dominant. His offense is fine and you can see why they're high on that part of his game, but he's really a big question mark. He'd get shredded at the NHL level: that wouldn't be a pretty sight. And who says Lilja's a fighter Does he even take his gloves off?

I could be in denial but I'm wondering if this injury report is a bit of gamesmanship. Nick's knee twisted on the hit but he looked more woosy than anything. If it gets out that he's concussed teams will know they can knock him out of a series if they go for a head shot that might cost them a two minute penalty.
