I thought Sweden walked all over us last game, and I didn't count them out for a second in this one but I guess both teams lucked out and Canada came out on top of the pile... The world juniors are always big for me since as a young lad I watched Hasek play against Canada in the final in Helsinki more than a few years ago...

Well that was good for a laugh... But getting back to some semblance of reality, above there was some disagreement about the Nucks. I think they are a great example of being a pretender as they might advance a round in the playoffs due to Luongo's play but they don't have the team in front of him to really challenge for the cup. Teams that made to the big dance on the back of a goalie in recent years Edm, Cal, Ducks (not last year) had some real shut down teams with scoring punch but still came up short; I don't see that coming from the Nucks whatsoever. So call them a contender with Luongo but even he can't save them.

I noticed Kindl's penchant for giveaways right away. Can't say I was impressed with him.

The Aves did their homework on Lilja--he follows the puck carrier everytime and they just drop it behind to their guy. I've never seen Lilja, not bite...

Jackman may not be a puss but he's certainly a tool... He goes after guys that don't match up against him--ahem, aside from above that is lol... He looks dumb fighting over a legal check, though; and even dumber for challenging and losing badly. Usually, you drop 'em when somebody sticks you or otherwise punks you outside of the rules...

My thoughts exactly. Lilja is a sucker... he bites on the first move everytime and chases guys all the way to centre ice. He does it regularly and doesn't get the difference between playing with pressure and chasing--and he never will. He's our achilles heel back there and he' ll hurt us again. As for Sammy, I kinda like him. He fairly played well last playoffs and finished off those Sharks for us with authority... Wings need someone who thinks shoot first, otherwise, they'll know we'll make that one more pass.

Unless there was something else going on with these two before, I don't see why jackman challenged him to fight after a hard but very clean check. It could have been worse, Lucic looks like one wide Croat...

The hyperextension Homer did certainly didn't look good; however, he did skate off by himself. Homer could have damage but is just one tough hombre, so we'll have to wait. Man we need that guy...

No they're not at all. They were playing well until letting up. I'm mean they started a bit slow too but aside from that, it's been all wings... on back to back nights at that.
