If the Ducks play like that 5 on 5 the rest of series and kill off most of the dumb penalties we all know they're gonna take, they'll win in 6. Ducks are hard to beat in OT. Though I hated him against us, Rob N. played great, stone hands and all!

Bertuzzi will almost certainly be back next year, given Holland's and his comments. The only real question is the salary. We all want to see what he can do fully healed and in shape. On top of that, give him a (hopefully) full season to gel with some good linemates and, as he says, some damage should ensue--of the right kind of course!

Pavel's a point per game player--it's clear that the previous underperformance was anomalous.

For Wings forwards... Well the Ducks got the bounces that I said would decide the series, so good for them but MAN did Pavel Datsyuk prove that he is an elite NHL forward beyond all doubt and homer instinct!

Pavel has flung off the playoff no-show label and more. f*** you Leafs fans...you don't have anybody close to him...

Dasyuk and Zetterberg will pass the Cup between them--they're talented beyond Canuckian dreams ...

Well, this is the first game one could say that the Duckies clearly outplayed the Wings. Too bad it's for all the marbles. 'Course the game aint over yet.

Nope. Sammy's got the shot. Zetterberg has shown he can't hit the feckin' net from back there. But I tell ya what: They need to forget the one-timers vs Giguere altogether, he'll stop'em every time. We need the back door pass or a very short one-timer to score on Jiggy or else he'll get set for the shot and will be square to shooter. We learned that lesson in '03, not even Hully could beat him from far out. Forget about it or we lose... I know of what I speak.

Because of the confidence in Giguere, they really attack. When it's next goal wins, they can go balls out and give up chances cuz he's got them. Mind you, if Datsyuk were to get a break away on him, it's game over. That was a MONSTER forecheck that flushed out Lilja like a scared goat, and that comes from confidence. Our game plan better be to win it in regulation. GO WINGS!

Hudler can score, put him in. He can really fire it and Jiggy doesn't know him.

Lilja's wearing the big ol' set of goat horns, that's for sure. A defenceman never cuts in front of his net and tries to stick-handle... He should be trying to play well for the team.

I hope Bertuzzi sits if he's not ready. He was already @ 50%, so he won't be effective. He won't being checking anybody out there. Neither would Hudler, so ahem... GO WINGS and give 'em another taste of A Game tonight!

I 'm feeling cautiously optimistic about our chances. The Wings have been here before. I think the luck will that the Ducks have enjoyed of late even out. We avoided going down a pair last game and we just have to do that in the first--if we don't get a goal, don't give up any. Our 2nd and esp. our 3rd periods are fine. Stay the hell out of OT, we've never beaten Jiggy in extra frames. I expect two things either we steer home (literally) a 2-1 victory and bring it back to the JOE or we see a repeat of last game, mostly likely the former.

It's covet and liliput's performance cannot be 'amazing' if all in all if he gives the game away in OT. Come on, wake up, yeah he scored but that will be understandably eclipsed by commiting the worst sin by a defencemen--cutting in front of your own net and giving the puck away. Dumb and irresponsible. It's brutal play that's vintage Andreas... it was just a matter of time before it happened. At least we're still in it. Reality is pessimism only if the Ducks are a better team than we are; it's really too close to call. It may come down to who gets the bounces as we've mentioned lately...

So what? They've been damn lucky and it's gonna even out...
