That's a lucky, controversial one, but a goal to be sure. The reason it was allowed was because the guy who pushed Luongo into the net with his stick is allowed to go after the puck so it's not goaltender interference; then, the puck squirted out into the slot before the ref could whistle it dead, then Pahlson popped it in.

He was causing turnovers before he left and IF he's cleared to play in time, assuming the Wings go that far I'd hope he'd be used as a depth guy, since he'll be rusty and will probably hurt the team. If he hadn't been hurt, he might have stepped it but he didn't look that solid to me but who knows...

Pavel's salary will hold him to a higher standard--nothing wrong there... But personally, I think Dats has played quite well, in terms of his all-around game and he did pot a game-winner in this series, after all. Yeah, he's got to score on the road but a road team has to have other guys stepping up who aren't getting the #1 checkers, as well... I'm glad Mr. Lang did just that.

The further the Wings go, the more rust Todd can shake off. The exciting thing is, when he turns on, he can take a game over--esp. with the talent that surrounds him. I'm geeked. GO TODD!

It's bizarre that a Luongo gaffe ended the series. He was calling for a penalty and raising his glove and Niedermayer caught him napping. Wow. I thought the Nucks would start to do their 3-1 comeback when they tied the game. Somehow, I'd rather have had to face the Ducks but it would have been interesting. Wings have to beat SJ first.

Ya know what? My take on things is that the Wings are actually playing quite well for the most part but I think the Wings could one small thing differently to win this series: Chip the puck out of the zone, when the sharks start, uh, circling. Better to risk an icing than to give up a goal that came from continued pressure from a turnover. You can start to feel when the Sharks are gonna score when we lose the puck and they use their size to generate pressure and several chances. And when on the pk, just get it out and beware of the Lidstrom Play--the cute little outlet pass to the guy in front of the net: it's harder to do in the playoffs and it has cost us... Big game tonight! Let's Get the WIN and knot this thing up!

Hasek will give us a very solid chance to win, not to worry (about him anyway).

If the Wings lose, it's too late to panic, we're done for. Biggest game of the year to date. It's a must win tonight. It's simple as the directions on the box of an instant cake: stay out of the box and when we are on the pp, don't let them block shots--fake a shot and step in or attack from anywhere but the point; lastly when in doubt, please SHOOT the puck...
