The Wings are always gonna getted jammed by the refs in Western Canada. We should really factor that into the game plan if we play them in the playoffs. Think I'm exaggerating? Just watch... But we can't afford to have our goalie giving away goals on gaffes, though, and that's what the games have come down to of late.

Dom's awesome, he just needs to stay in his net, cut out the snakeoil salesman bit and play goal-- and he's a champ.

Just got home. The wings are getting another western canada welcome from the refs I see... Same s***, different year.

I went to the game and that's what a real sellout looks like. That was a great game to watch aside from the refs calling too many penalties and breaking up the flow, and of the course the outcome. Datsyuk was the best player on the ice--what else is new. Calder sucked--two penalties in the first and he missed an open net. Hasek needs to stay in his net--that gaffe was the turning point. I would say it's time for Kronnic to lose the cage--he had Sammy wide open a coupla times and didn't see him. Luongo made some amazing stops, especially the one on Lebda's perfect shot after coming from behind the net. The game was a lot closer than the score would indicate. I came away thinking that when Zetterberg and Bertuzzi and Franzen return, Luongo won't be able to save them against us. edit: Oh yeah I was quite impressed with Hudler...he's looker faster out there

Well I'll be at the game. I saw the season opener at the joe (at home visiting relatives in Windsor) and though we put a lot of rubber at Luongo, he came up large. I hope we have better luck at the other end as well (Naslund's goal went in off of his head). This one could go either way... GO WINGS! Hoping for Hudler shines! (the lil' monkey).

While it's true the Nucks play a bit over their heads against the Wings, the Wings rule in the month of March, coming down the stretch. Last year at this time it was a 7-3 spanking at GM Place, on back to back games no less. Wings are banged up but we have a little guy named Hudler!

Exactly. Sign him now. The Wings finally have got some skilled size to compliment Datsyuk's talent. He will light it up and be gone and I will not be happy.

I think that if Datsyuk is unsigned and plays with Bertuzzi on his line he will price himself right out of Detroit. Naslund knows all about the time and space Bert supplies when the refs pocket their whistles in the playoffs... Pavel would light it up. You just know the Wings will want to see what Pavel can do with Bert. Sign Datsyuk whenever you can, I say.
