I have a love/hate relationship with Hudler being in this series. He would help greatly in the areas of getting the puck in the zone and scoring but on the other hand he wouldn't do so well in the areas of battling along the boards and being physical with the Ducks. Scoring has got to be a concern right now so I say, hell! put him in!!!

Let's be honest people. It would have been quite a feat to win at Anaheim 2 games in a row. That would be like the Ducks winning at Detroit 2 in a row. These teams are very good at facing adversity and Anaheim did step it up last night, especially on the power play that inevitably handed us the loss. This reminds me of the first 2 series. Here's hoping the outcome will not change as well... GO WINGS!!!!

If I were the Wings, I would want to face Ottawa for obvious reasons. We would get home ice for the first 2 games.

I have said in a previous thread about Bert that I haven't seen much positiveness in the guy. He floats around more than Lang has in the playoffs, he doesn't crash the net much, and he is out-bodied a lot along the boards. Unless he changes those 3 crucial parts of his role, I will continue to be skeptical.

I think the guy definitely deserves to don the 'A' for his play in these playoffs. Dats has been a force on the ice and not to mention our leading scorer. I like having Drapes and Z as assistants but with the new contract for Dats isn't it inevitable?? Thoughts?

Thanks for the feedback people. I guess I really haven't heard him talk all that much. I would have to agree with not giving him an 'A' if is english is that bad. Maybe in a few years once Lids is gone his english will pick up.

If you think it was a bad idea, who do you think we could get for the same money for the type of player he is? Maltby knows his role and he does it very good. We have to keep some veterans on the team and who knows how many we will have by next year after the FA market or retirement. -
