It would be quite a feat to pull off with 4 games against Nashville but our record now is 40-16-8 with 18 games remaining. Last year's record was 58-16-8, exactly 18 wins more than our current record. I believe it can be done but with our team leading scorer Hank out, it would be amazing. Just thought that was kind of weird...

How about Stumpel and Bert for Williams and a early round draft pick. It seems like Florida might part with Bert for a pick and Stumpel is an ok pick up. At least he scored more than Williams this season. Yay or nay??

Yeah that hit was on Lupul. Kronner just exploded into his head. I do see some minor adding of grit to our team in the last few games, but that's just what the other teams want us to do. They want us to get off our game and play a style that we just honestly can't provide right now. Our style of play is puck possession and we haven't been having our 'A' game when it comes to that

Well, with all these injuries mounting to our top goaltenders, it's a thought. Would you try to get a rental goaltender like CuJo or Esche that maybe you can sign an extension if one or both of our top 2 don't come back or do you trust that these guys can stay healthy the rest of the season? I'm not sure it would be wise to get a goalie and waste a trade but then again are you content with a Hasek or Osgood/Mac tandem? Thoughts?

I understand that the Wings style of play isn't physical which is ok by me because the last time I looked they were 3rd best in the league. The only thing I really didn't like seeing tonight is that they gave up after only a 3-1 score with more than enough time to tie the game.

Well I really don't see Osgood or Hasek back next year so we are going to have to get a veteran goalie next season to play with Howard.

Yeah I would love to see Biron in Detroit. I was thinking of one of the Sharks' goalies as well.

Well, I can honestly say that I have never eluded to the possibility of Kronwall being the next Lidstrom. Not because I think he could, but because he is a totally different kind of d-man. He plays a more physical game which we need on defence.

So where are the people on here that said he was going to be the next Lidstrom and called him Nick Jr.?? Are they changing their minds because of a bad couple of weeks or are they just being mum? Inquiring minds wish to know

What about Modin? He could be a nice fit. A hard worker along the boards and a 20 goal scorer, plus he's Swedish!!

Nice to see Steen get a goal tonight. It seems he has been playing with more jump after the All Star break. Definitely my favorite player on the Leafs. I think the kid has potential to become a 20-goal scorer.

Honestly, this is a classic case of boy meets girl, boy loves girl, boy gets sick of girl because she won't "perform" to his liking, boy leaves girl, girl finds new boy, girl "performs" like old boy wanted with new boy. Old boy kicks himself because he is jealous. You replace the boy with the Red Wings, the girl with Datsyuk, and the new boy with new hockey team. Holland doesn't want to let Datsyuk go because he believes once he does, Dats will turn it on with his new team in the playoffs. He doesn't want to be the GM that let "that great player" go. It's a risk he may not want to take.

Yeah I also think Booter has deserved a shot in D-town. But since Mowers is playing great the last couple of games i'm not sure he will get the chance barring injury

Haven't you guys learned anything from Detroit's past interest in foreign players???? You know they are going to bring in a no-namer dman or winger that no one (except for a few people) have ever heard of to our squad next year and will be sufficiant no matter what he does in the regular season....i.e. Lilja, Sammy
