Pavel Kubina is my second fav d-man following you know who so I would love to see this guy in a winged wheel probably more than anyone on this site. He is big, tough, plays great defense, and did I mention he is tough?? Anyways I really don't think this would happen unless Howard proves himself to be a solid starter night in and night out. A more reasonable trade would be Osgood and a couple of picks for Kubina if it was going to happen this year...

That would be one of the worst trades if not the worst the Wings would ever deal!! A promising young froward and a solid starting goalie for an OK D-man and who??? Nope, won't happen. -

Sorry if this was already discussed but who on the Wings' current roster including Datsyuk (who will be signed) will have a breakout year?? My pick is Zettercheddar for sure just because of his numbers from 03-04 and the fact that he can only get better from here on out...DISCUSS!!!

I couldn't agree more with you. I would also like to add that when i watch these two goaltenders, Manny seems to eat up the puck on a shot more and give less rebounds, as Ozzy gives up a lot of rebounds. I would definitely give Manny the start in goal, but then again I'm not Babcock...

Yeah I was quite sure what happens when a prospect comes from overseas like that where they end up at. I just figured GR because maybe they want to give him a go there first but I would rather see him in D-town anyways!! -

I really think one of these two guys are the best for what the Wings need to set our defensive lines. They have size and toughness. The others are too old imo... I personally would pick Simpson because of his numbers and he has more grit and size.
