I can't wait to see Cleary on the ice again. I hope he catches fire going into the playoffs. Great news on Stuart too!! Looks like he will be back for the first round.

My understanding is that the trophy is awarded to the goalkeeper(s) who play a minimum of 25 games and are of the team that allows the fewest actual goals not averages. Example would be if the season ended today, Hasek and Osgood would each win with 164 because they combine for less goals allowed as a team.

I was just wasting time going through some of the Red Wings' playoff stats and stumbled across something that caught my eye. McCarty accumulated exactly 34 PIM in each of the past 3 Red Wing Stanley Cup wins during the playoffs (97,98,02) Is this a sign or merely a coincidence???

Eventhough I would love to see Mac back into the lineup permanently, the realistic choice will be him and Drake on a rotating spot. I would think the lines might look something like this: Dats - Z - Homer Flip - Franz - Cleary Hudler - Kopecky - Sammy Maltby - Draper - Drake/Mac Downey

It is such a great feeling knowing that we will have all of our defensemen back by next week. I'm hoping that Flip's injury doesn't get worse though. We need him in the playoffs for sure.

I think the Boston Bruins have more things to worry about right now than what their 3rd jersey will look like. Did anyone see the score from last night's game...10-2....EEEGATS MAN!!! But, to stay on topic, I think they are not bad. A lot better than the past one. If the Wings were to get a 3rd jersey, I wouldn't mind seeing something like the '92 vintage one, maybe a little more modernized with the laces by the neckline.

I really hope Meech stays and Lebda gets sent down once all our guys our back from injuries. We don't need a small dman that isn't physical in the playoffs. I'm not saying meech is any taller, but I like the style he plays compared to Lebda and would be a good reserve guy. Lids - Raf Kronner - Stu Cheli - Pain Train Meech If Lebda passes waivers fine. If not, good luck!!
