Yeah, the NHL would have to cut it down to 6 with two byes per conf. or 7 with one bye per conf. -

I'm just going to go out on a limb here and predict it will be Detroit and Ottawa in the final. I know risky picks but that's why they call it a prediction...lol

I really believe this guy could bring in some nice scoring to our 2nd line. He would only cost the Wings $900K so I bet we could get him for a mid-level prospect and a late draft pick, possibly even just a draft pick. He is on pace for 35 goals and also has some grit to him as well. Flip - Dats - Homer Prospal - Z - Cleary What do you guys and gals think?

Well I don't really predict the outcome usually, but i'm sensing an ass whooping brought on by the Wings. Lots of hitting and a couple of fights. Therefore my prediction is: 5-1 Wings (Dats, Z, Cleary, Huds, Flava Flav...lol)

I actually was thinking of this idea a few weeks ago. This would be an awesome idea. I mean every other major sport does this so why not the NHL?? I would love to see some throwback jerseys, especially in Detroit.

While I agree with the added scoring depth and more team toughness being the main factors, I also think that the fruition of Dats and Z as leaders to this team may be the biggest difference. -

No thanks. I would rather have a player that can actually score a few goals in the playoffs. We need a more physical forward or someone that isn't prone to being pushed around.

I wonder if the Red Wings would sign this guy to a 2-way contract. I know a lot of people on here will say he is all but washed up, which may be true, but I for one would love to see Mac back in the winged wheel if he proves to be an asset to the team. Too bad we have Downey already or I think he could play a similar role.
