Well here it is. Vote for your favorite and then maybe we can email it to a Detroit newspaper so our voices can be heard on what we think the new name should be...

I can't wait to see what Tatar can do against the Isles!! He was looking like a sniper the games I watched in the past few weeks. -
What a great game and solid all around effort from the Griffins!! I was sitting about 10 rows behind the Griffins bench for my birthday and couldn't ask for a better present. The Griffins played 75% of the game in the Admirals zone and they were deadly on the PP. Joey Mac was solid in the net. Made an awesome glove save - the kind where the goalie does the splits and does a swatting motion with the glove. Smith looked really good out there all night. The kid has top 4 defenseman wriiten all over him. The Griffins D was very stingy all night and didn't give the Admirals any easy shots. Tatar was about 1 in. away from a hat trick. He looked very lethal with the puck and could be a sniper-type player for the Red Wings in the near future. The line with Tatar, Emmerton, and Pare was outstanding! The Admirals had no answer for them and continued to show it through errors and penalties. I just hope this type of an effort continues!

ProfessorLidstrom5 posted a topic in General
Hey all. Is anybody going to be watching the game tonight that is in the Milwaukee, WI area?? If so I would like to meet up with you to cheer on the Wings!! Or if anybody knows of a good bar or any other public place to watch the game plaese let me know. Thanks! GO WINGS!!!! -

While I agree it was wrong to take Abdelkader out of the lineup, I do not think he should be inserted into the lineup over Maltby. Eventhough the numbers speak for themselves, Maltby brings so much more to the game for the Wings than just numbers. He brings grit, agitation, leadership, and experience. He always seems to get into the other team's best players' heads. The game last night offers a perfect example. Before the start of the 2nd or 3rd period (can't remember which one) Malts went by Crosby and said something to him. I don't know what was said but I'm sure it wasn't anything friendly. That's the kind of stuff I'm looking for in a veteran fourth liner!!

Here are some I just thought up: Tiger - Being from Medicine Hat Spark - Because he is just that on offense Wild Card - Because no other team can seem to solve him What do you guys think???

Yeah I knew that....I was just being a bit playful. There might be a bird with a blue jacket though. Any bird experts out there?? Haha
-
On the bright side....Did anyone else notice that the Wings have been playing nothing but teams related to some sort of bird?? I mean I'm not sure about the Blue Jackets, although they could be some sort of a bird, but the Ducks, the Hawks, and now the Penguins?? I like the way this trend is continuing though....GO WINGS!!!!!!!
