I like the full penalty duration. I like no touch icing variation. If the defender is winning by the faceoff dot whistle, otherwise let it continue. I like the yellow line in the net. I like the new camera in the net. I would want more clarification on the bit about goalies covering the puck outside the crease. Thinner nets I would consider.

He coached the Ducks minor team which had 6 or so red wing players on it for one reason or another. It states as much in the video.

To my understanding the team cannot take him to arbitration again as they have already done so. Weber could take them to arbitration however if he wanted. At that point the team could elect to walk away from the offer. As for if he can walk away or not this year it is a little confusing, I would however think that the article on NHL.com is written by people who know what they are doing and thus the team has no way to walk away. Lets be honest even if they could they wouldn't anyway's. Not to mention no article has even mentioned the possibility of walking away that I have seen.

This thread I think is eye candy for the girls wrapped in the disguise of personal fitness. lol

I wish Draper all the best. I have many fond memories of him in the red wings uniform and to this day still look up some of those old wings avs games. I'm glad he was on our team and he will be remembered.

Just wanted to say congrats to Ozzy for a great career. He gave us many great memories, some bad and some good. May he find happiness and fulfillment in everything he does.

How is the Talbot contract any different from the Ehrhoff one? Or am I simply missing something here.

Sadly I just saw a video of this guy actually hitting the bank with the stick so he was a rioter, infact the video had his name and what school he goes to as well. He is in Highschool, some place in Richmond. Unless of course he had an interesting way of trying to stop said riot.
-
This guy from what I have heard isn't actually a rioter, he grabbed the stick from a rioter and then was yelling at them defending the place. No way to confirm if it's true but my gut feeling from looking at the photo is that it is. I'm surprised more people didn't simply do things like this as you can see people trying to stop them from demolishing the cop cars as well. To bad more were not there to help.
-
Just remember that the rioting was done by a small number of Canuck fans and not to paint all Canuck fans with the same brush as the morons depicted. I do however think it's so stupid of them to be doing this anyways. There are so many photos that if the cops wanted they all can be caught.

Couple things 1) If you have not noticed the Vancouver games since the last round and this one have been aired a lot earlier for the east coast. 5pm PST start time today. 2) Your calling for fans of Detroit to boycot west games so they can move east. Hello those fans who could boycot are in the west why would they boycot so the team they love starts games when they are all at work still?

According to HF Boards in the Canucks section due to Rafi retiring we are going for Ehrhoff. It's pretty funny reading the thread there. Apparently we are going to offer 6 million to him. lol. The thread if anyone cares. I was gonna post there and let them know we wouldn't do that but... i'm to lazy to create an account. http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=916947

Lets just axe a few teams, scratch conferences and divisions and have everyone play each other 3 times. One year one team would get two at home and one away next it would swap. Take top 16 teams for playoffs. done. I'm joking but it's just as possible as most the stuff being mentioned here.

The next 2 to 5 years will be a great test to show us how good our GM and a lesser extent our scouts are.

What about taking a chance on Chuck Kobasew. He was solid on Boston a few years ago but took a dive with Minnesota, his lack of production means he may be able to be had on the cheap and if he can bounce back it would be a good pickup. -
To my understanding he is a LW/C. At least that is what TSN has him listed as.
-
Anyone interested in Curtis Glencross. I think he could be had for a good price and seems like he may be a good fit. Granted I don't know everything about the guy but he seems like a realistic opportunity.

I think for Lidstrom you have the GM and ownership sit down with him, explain what they think they need to acquire in the off season and for how much for the best chance at the cup. Then simply ask Lidstrom how much do you want to be apart of this. Lidstrom is smart he can decide on $ for his effort and time at his age or $ for the team to shore up spots. Frankly though if we win a cup this year, i wouldn't be surprised to see Lidstrom retire. Regarding Howard, I hope he doesn't price himself out of a job. 2.5 mill would be my theoretical cap for him at this time but it depends on length of contract and how he does in the playoffs. Won't comments on the other guys.

I did a search to see if this is brought up but didn't find anything on a preliminary check. At this point we have only played 18 games, the lowest amount played in the league. A lot of teams are at 22 games already and we don't play again till Thursday. We seem to have some long breaks between games sometimes. Yet having said this we are 2 points from top teams in the league like Phily and Washington who have played 4 more games. So while I like that, obviously we have to make up the games at some point. Anyone know if it's some type of scheduling conflict with JLA that is doing this? Anyone know by chance what month we are making up all the games or does it balance out over the coming months.

My first thought after watching the video actually was about the goal celebration. Seemed a bit much to me but I guess he was happy.

I'll admit that when he signed the contract last summer I wasn't ecstatic. But I have to give Bert some props here as one of my major knocks against him was his defensive side. Leading the team with a +13 is very nice, not to mention the 14 pts in 16 games. So my hats off to you Bert. May you keep it up. Cheers!
