There is a great video on TSN right now called Remembering Probert Pt.1 Awesome clip of Yzerman talking about him and showing them two sitting beside each other brought me chills. The video has Proberts family in it and they talk about the book and finishing it.

String of bad luck but no one beats Sami Salo.

I wasn't aware Bert had that many tats. Good on him cause Tattoos rock!

Kudos Osgood! Nice win tonight.

Stay in the west simply due to the fact that if they move to the east, i'll rarely ever get to see a game which sucks.

I am sending my positive vibes Ozzy's way. Hopefully he can play well for us tonight.

Nothing I can say that hasn't already been said about the goal. Just curious though, does Toronto review every goal or only the questionable ones? Also do they have the power to call and overturn a ref?

I know it's early yet but out of the gate the Central division teams seem to be having some stellar play. If the playoffs started today all 5 times would be in. Is this a sign that our division is the most competitive division in the league right now and potentially for the year or just fluke that will balance out?

Rypien had an interview that is posted on the TSN website. Says he knew what he did was wrong once he did it and says that he feels he has been treated fairly on it. On a side note, I was surfing the net and wonder what these guys got. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ra_NB1l-hsk&feature=player_embedded

Lol, rage much? Any way's I don't think the lawsuit would fly in Canada. To my knowledge if someone sues you here and it's thrown out or they loose. The person sued can sue the person who brought the original lawsuit against him for legal fees. Stops stupid frivolous lawsuits from happening. Having said that I would be surprised if anyone actually let the guy win. There is video of him and it's not like he was distraught.

An option could be useful for those long term contracts. If Chara wants to play till he is 45 or something for example give him a contract till he is 40, with an option that if he hits x points, plays x minutes, and x games that the contact is extended. Then the onus in on the player to reach those goals if he really wants to play that long.

How do you know there was intent to cause harm? Are you serious? First I doubt highly the person is a kid. If I had to guess he is in his 20's and that is old enough to vote, die in the military and drink. As for the father and stabbing.... think about that statement for a second. Again Rypien is an idiot for what he did but there is no chance in hell it will even come remotely close to a season let alone the season and playoffs. If by some miracle it does my mind will be simply blown to pieces by the stupidity of the NHL. Lol! Cause it's funny, the shoe thing not your statement. haha

I have to wonder what the fan said to piss him off. I can't see how he would do that just cause the guy was clapping. Also why is there no cover on that tunnel. I thought they did that on visiting team benches.

hmm, i'll look into going.

I noticed our PP seemed to be playing a umbrella style for a good part of the game it seemed like we had 3 players at the blue line, one along the side boards and the other sometimes in front of the net. No down low plays for the most part. Any way's the PP sucked. Hopefully they can work it out by Thursday. On another note i thought Kindl played a good game. He jumped in the play, was pro active and I personally didn't notice any glaring WTF moments from him. A nice 2 pts, to bad we didn't prevent the yotes from 1 though. Lastly thanks Drumnj for the stream.

funny, lol. Should be a fun season to watch.

Abdelkader out, Bertuzzi questionable for tomorrow's opener
Nhurdi replied to HockeytownRules19's topic in General
Thanks Konnan, much appreciated. Hopefully everyone can get healed, if it is Maltby's last game lets make it one to remember. -
I asked this in another thread before I saw this one but given Maltby is on a 2 way contract and 37 years old if he retires how does it affect our cap.

Out of curiosity how does the 2 way contract and the fact Maltby is 37 affect our cap should he retire? -
I think for me the point is that I would rather do well early and have less pressure to get in then have to pull out all the stops and go full bore to get into the playoffs late. Then once in potentially be tired and thus not ready for the playoffs. Is it possible to recover from a bad first half. Sure, but id rather not be put in that position in the first place.

http://www.csnne.com/10/01/10/Contract-talks-heating-up-for-Chara/v1_landing_bruins.html?blockID=322406&feedID=5364 Obviously he has not been paying attention to what has been going on this summer.

Thanks for the suggestion, I shall keep it in mind but currently I don't even have normal cable.

For anyone claiming Bettman said Detroit would move east, a link or source would be appreciated. Speaking as a fan from the west coast, if they moved east that would virtually eliminate my ability to watch them at all. You may have to stay up late to watch the game but at least you have the option. I don't have the option to leave work early to catch the game.

I don't believe the game was televised. Only video I saw of the game was from what I am guessing is a cell phone camera. It wasn't of this incident though.
